Riverside is an 8 acre property on the Ohio River in Burlington, KY. Originally built as Lock and Dam 38 in 1926 it is now a multi family apartment property with a large field and plenty of room to camp. Currently there are two sites and a outside community area. Each have a picnic table and fire ring. You can pull your car right up to your site. Bring your canoe or kayak as we have access to put your boat in right on the property. Or fish from the river bank. There is access to the indoor common area where you will find a bathroom with shower and a place to relax or get in from the weather. There are two coin operated laundry rooms and a soda machine onsite as well. This historic location is just 8 minutes to Rabbit Hash, 18 minutes to Big Bone Lick State Park, and 22 minutes to the Creation Museum. Either myself or one of my staff are onsite everyday if you have any questions or concerns.

This is my home residence in the small town of Dry Ridge, KY. I am just 20 minutes from The Ark Encounter and historic Williamstown. I have a small pond to camp next to either with a tent or RV that has electric and water hookup outside of my detached garage. Behind the property and surrounding the farm of 125 acres is eagle creek. Swim, fish, canoe, or kayak for additional fun and relaxation. There are walking trails and if not too congested side by sides are welcome as well. If the creek is low, there is a lot of fun to be had collecting clamshells and other various unique items that the waters bring. Wood can be purchased for campfires if desired. A small fire pit will be beside the campsite and a larger one down by the creek. Come sit by the pond and fall asleep to the sound of the frogs chirping and other wildlife.

Guest access Although secluded, this incredible cabin is a quick drive to Foster boat ramp (0.5 miles), Meldahl dam (2.5 miles), Kincaid Lake State Park (10 miles), historic Augusta (13 miles) or Cincinnati (31 miles). Other things to note Host lives on same gravel road as cabin and is available for assistance most times but cabin is not readily visible to hosts so privacy is ensured.

There is another cabin about 50 yards away. The land has a creek on one side, lovely trails and a pond. Farm has chickens, horses , and a potbelly pig as well as friendly dogs to play with.

7 nights at Cedar Fire farm: Kamp kessa

We used this spot as a home base for our yearly hunting trip. It was perfect for what we needed. Everyone on the farm was friendly and welcoming! You’ll get to know the horses and cats as they wander around the farm and sometimes come up to you to say hello. The cabin was a great common area and place to wind down after a long day of being out in the woods.

Seriously the most accommodating host ever! I usually hipcamp on my motorcycle and this time I brought my girl. That leaves no room for chairs & table. Steven not only provided them, he set us up with a tablecloth and candle too! He also gave us more firewood than we could use and even offered us food! Steven also schooled us on his all black chickens and his fluffy "silkie" chickens. Even tho we camped right next to a pond there were ZERO mosquitoes! We were too tired to hike but a trail to the creek with swimming was made available.

Quiet spot with chickens and ducks. We were able to hook up our 5th wheel with water and electric. Our host was wonderful and even gave us eggs from his chickens.

Weekend Trip to Riverside

Site was great, locating was simple and we had a lovely view of the river. Jim was attentive and quick to bring us more firewood when needed. Amenities were accessible and clean, a little less light at night would be nice but you know it's around apts going in so that's on you hah. Would go back!

Pretty cool and surprisingly quiet spot for being so close to houses. The view under the old water tower and out to the river is nice. Was super easy to do a late booking and check in. The owner was very nice and responsive to my messages. Shower was hot and clean. No frills/soap. Toilet bowl was pretty gross, but everything else wasn’t bad. As far as camp site at this price with a shower, top tier!

Weekend Trip to River Refuge Retreat

My fiancé and I really enjoyed our stay! We were hit by an unexpected snowstorm and were snowed in. They were very nice and accommodating and ensured we had everything we needed for the sake of our safety to stay off the nasty roads! They even put together a very special request my fiancé had to surprise me upon arrival🥰 We will most definitely be back in the warmer months and highly recommend this wonderful cabin!!
