At this 6 acre site you can enjoy all the Kentucky river has to offer without any distractions. Located at 1835 McCouns Ferry Rd in Salvisa Ky 40372. 

Drive up the hosts house then steps away is your campsite. There you will find two sitting chairs, a table, fire pit, and trash barrel.

You can hike the riverside, fish, swim and grill here. If you get here in the months of may, bring your mushroom bag to find and pick for dinner. THEY'RE EVERYWHERE

Our farm is located on the property where the ferry brought individuals across the KY River from Versailles, KY. We are a private farm and live here for the pleasure of the land, the quiet from the city, and the outdoor activities. We want to share this with our guests.

Come and enjoy bourbon country on the Kentucky River. We are located next door to the Wild Turkey Distillery, and within miles of a few others. Our 35-acre property offers immediate access to the KY River, and is within 5 minutes of an extremely quaint downtown area, should you decide to go to town for a meal. Plenty of restaurants for your choosing! 7 minutes away is a Walmart should you forget anything.  Come and relax in our peaceful surroundings. Horses, goats, chickens, mini mules, and mini horses on site and loving attention. Bring your frisbees, cornhole, and yard games.

Terrapin Hill Farm

The land that is now Terrapin Hill Farm has been a gathering place over the ages, and we have continued the tradition with music festivals, yoga retreats, weddings, and other celebrations. We believe that getting out in Nature... by camping, hiking, gazing at a campfire or at starry skies... is not only beneficial but necessary to our mental health. That's why we want to share our little slice of heaven with others.

I live on 5.5 acres.  It's peaceful and quiet and I love it here.  I've stayed at other hip camps and simply decided that I would love to share my little slice of heaven with others passing through my area.  Notes: there is a wee bit of road noise, I live on a dead end road, there are 10 acres between my 5 acres and the Blue Grass Parkway.  I find it peaceful here and can easily ignore it but I'm mentioning it so your not surprised by it  ;)  The Neighbor dog (Roxy) is very friendly and might visit you while you are here :)

You are welcome to hang a hammock in a small section of woods, by a small pond, or even on my covered porch.

You are welcome to pitch a tent anywhere you like.

You are welcome to park an RV or vehicle in the drive.  The drive is about 250ft long, you would need to back in in order to hook up to the 30 or 50 amp plug.

RV's can use the 30 or 50 amp plug and hose for water.

I'm a great travel guide so feel free to tell me what your in town for or things you like to do.  I will happily make you up a list of things to do and see and places to eat.

Keenland, Churchill Downs, The Bourbon Tour (Jim Beam, Makers Mark, Heaven Hill, and many others) are within an hour of here.  Also within an hour are 2 great bike paths, wonderful hiking and kayaking.  As well as Great Shopping and Restaurants.  Anything your heart desires.

Serenity Cabin/Lazy E Hunting Ranch

Learn more about this land:Campers will enjoy a nice cozy rustic cabin or bring their own personal camping gear .  There is a stocked pond with plenty of fish, you can eat them or release them it’s your choice. There are numerous hiking trails and nature abounds on this beautiful 236 acre property, ATV’s are welcome, swimming is also permitted, a liability waiver is required for these activities.  The Cabin can either be used with or without electricity, it has an outdoor cold water shower, and outhouse.  There is a country grill, gas station, bank, and dollar general store within 1 mile of the Cabin.  A wood burning cook stove can be used for heat or cooking, also there is a charcoal grill for your convenience outside, the cabin is furnished with army style cots and pads, bedding is also available if needed.

We have cleared field areas that get you feet from nature with out being in the middle of the woods at night.  We have a wide range of experiences to cater to you.  We are a small farm that can cater to those who want to be alone in the woods to a full service hands on experience and everything in between.  Each visitors experience is customized to their wants.  No cookie cutter one size fits most at Knife & Fork Farm.  We have a bunk house that can be rented by the room, the 2nd floor or the entire house.  Meal plans, on farm experiences, and classes are available.
