For over 100 years, people have crossed the Wildcat Creek in Moline, Kansas, on a wooden swinging bridge. And, now you can take your turn on the gently swaying creaking boards. Though this is the oldest swinging bridge in Kansas, it’s not the only attraction in Moline. Head upstream to the waterfalls and sit by the rippling creek. Then, set out to explore Wichita and the stunning Flint Hills region, where you can get lost amid the grasslands and rugged ridges. Find Derby camping spots nestled in the surrounding ranchlands, offering divine views of the sunsets. You might feel at home on a family farm or find a pond to play in. For public campgrounds, check out Fall River State Park or Elk City State Park. Both parks are located around scenic lakes, which also have waterfront Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds with tent and RV campsites.
