The Hughes Holler camp site is located in the mix grassed prairie of central Kansas. The site was once a homestead of some of the early pioneers of the area. While none of the remnants of the former farmstead remain. The the tranquility of sitting at a campfire on the banks of the pond can let ones mind wonder about what life would have been like living there in days gone by. The site includes a spring fed pond with abundant fishing, predominately white bass. Guests are allowed to keep any fish they wish to eat on site. But please release any others back into the pond. There is a wooded area which provides nice shade for an area to relax from the Kansas summer sun and wind. Campers can also enjoy a camp fire either pond side of underneath the trees. Sleeping accommodations are in a deluxe water proof tent. There are 2 queen air mattress which will comfortably sleep 4 people. There is also a composting toilet on site. Glamping Hosts provide some hot drink mixes, a coffe perculator, pot for boiling water, or making soup, a cooking grate for the fire, some hygiene products. We are working on a solar shower! We are located 2 miles from the Kanopolis Lake wildlife and recreation area. Which includes numerous hiking trails at Horse Thief canyon. As well as 7 miles from historic Marquette with its unique downtown shops and activities: distillery, motorcycle museum, soda fountain shop/homemade ice cream, disc golf course, grocery store and liquor store. Also, located just 15 miles from Little Swedon, Lindsborg, KS. Great shopping and museums, art galleries for you enjoyment!

Our delightfully funny 5 acre farmstead was built by Swedish Pioneers in 1876 and we pioneered our Hipcamp on 18 June 2023. We have a variety of spaces for vehicles, tents and small campers midst leaning trees and funky old farm buildings. Rustically quaint and uniquely primitive, we are. Three friendly dogs, two sheep, one goat and shy cats. Well water via hydrant and drinkable water available. Access to electricity if you have an extension cord. Lots of campfire wood to use and take. The Milky Way on a clear night. IN A NUTSHELL - SMACK IN THE BELLY BUTTON of the U.S.A. and only 30 minutes from the intersection of INTERSTATE 70 (goes east-west) and INTERSTATE 135 (goes north-south) - VERY SAFE and especially comfortable for those traveling alone - PARK AT YOUR CAMPSITE - Most campsites are in one acre paddocks surrounded by 5 foot fencing so humans and pets can RUN WILD AND FREE - We tend to be kind and caring and are EAGER-TO-PLEASE country folk and creature Hosts - We need more details than most Hosts to prepare, esp. updates of arrival time and friendliness and fun level of kids and dogs. - MEADOWLARK BIKE AND WALK TRAIL within walking distance from your campsite - Only 3 miles into Proud Swedish LINDSBORG with homemade ice cream, funny events, lotsa art, shops, strong Swedish coffee and a DINOSAUR SIZED DALA HORSE DETAILS We are a safe spot to take refuge for a night… a week… a month. There are no bathroom amenities here. Garbage can is provided. We are 8 minutes from the Abbyville Rodeo Arena and 30 minutes from Quivira National Wildlife Refuge. We are 24 minutes from Cosmosphere in Hutchinson, Kansas. At Hastago Farm we have sheep, goats, steers, chickens, ducks, and they live out on the pasture. We have fresh farm eggs daily. Goat milk is available seasonably. It is peaceful, calm, and quiet here at Hastago. You don't want to miss the sunrises and sunsets. You might even see some deer and turkeys pass by in the fields.

Located 15 minutes from I-70 and 2 minutes from Ottawa State Lake (also called Bennington State Lake) which is great for fishing, we have 3 Rv spots with 50 amp hook ups. Are you tired of Rv parking spots and being crammed all together like sardines? Here there is more space and plenty of solitude. We are currently offering introductory rates while we build out the other amenities. Each spot has water hook up and a 50 amp box with all adaptor types. The ground is made of new slightly uneven gravel. Enjoy 26 acres of space and a less busy (blacktop tarr) road. When approaching do not use the gps if it sends you on a dirt road, but keep driving until you see a blacktop road and let it recalculate - from I-70 take 81 north and 106 east to Justice Road. We eovide codes for the lockboxes that contain keys to the electric. Make sure to communicate with your host!
