My husband and I really enjoyed camping on John's land. Everything that you need is already there, set up ready to go. The place was very peaceful and quiet. Both of our dogs were able to run around the property and enjoy it just as much as we did. I would definitely plan another stay here.

What an incredible place. So peaceful, so secluded, exactly what we were hoping for. We only stayed one night for this trip, and we all wished we could have stayed longer so we will definitely be planning a longer stay in the future.
The bed was very comfortable, I always worry about that when staying at places away from home. We did have to relocate a few 8-legged friends from inside the yurt when we first arrived, but they didn’t put up too much of a fight.
We got rain during the night, and my new favorite thing is sleeping in a yurt while it’s raining. It was heaven. I love how the yurt is nestled under pines, it’s such a good spot.

Perfect overnight stay! We stopped here for a night on our way up north and it was a perfect spot offering privacy, proximity, room for the dog to run around a bit, and electric a nice bonus. The site is super convenient and maintained well. We would definitely use again.

We had a wonderful time and Jeff was great! We would certainly recommend to anyone who wants a peaceful, private spot to hangout and relax. The shower, kitchen, and outhouse were much appreciated- I really loved how well maintained and clean the outhouse was! We brought our dogs and they enjoyed running around and lounging in the sun too.

Nice mulched area to camp, had a bin full of firewood which was nice, had a nice fire pit. We were in an overlanding rig and had our own solar generator. Mostly quiet area and set back in the woods which provides shade most of the day. Theodore was very responsive to our questions. We will probably try again in colder weather.

The spot was perfect. Private and the view was beautiful. Easy pull in and out. Nice fire pit. My two dogs loved the calmness and thier multiple walks. It was perfect for us, who don't enjoy the typical rv parks. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful overnight stay at this campsite! Host was very communicative. The site was spacious and easy to maneuver into - there are two driveways that connect around the site to make it easy to pull through. Great amenities including 50/30/20 amp hook up (so we could use air conditioning!), bins, and a fire pit (didn’t use because it was too hot). Lovely scenery surrounded by fields. There was a beautiful show of fireflies over the fields at dusk! Would definitely stay again.

This location is nearly perfect for us! The woods block the sun from the south and crate a beautiful shaded wooded area that is very private but only a few miles from town. especially enjoyed the horse & buggies passing by waving every time! We loved it, and plan to come back in fall!

Weekend Trip to Nature’s Refuge
We had such a wonderful stay at John’s glamping yurt! John was an incredibly kind and helpful host—he made us feel welcome right away and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The campsite itself is peaceful and private, surrounded by beautiful grounds that made it easy to relax and unwind.
The setup is fantastic: everything is thoughtfully laid out, from the cozy yurt and outdoor shower to the well-equipped cooking area with a grill, stove, tables, and a great firepit for evenings by the fire. Awesome for our dog, too!! We also had a blast playing cornhole—such a fun touch!
We’re so glad we found this spot and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a private, relaxing, nature-filled getaway with great amenities and an amazing host. Thanks again, John!

A great pull through site!! Private and quiet. Nice little trail in the woods that our dogs loved. Enjoyed watching the horse and buggies go by. Nice trash bin and campfire set up. Would definitely stay again.
