There is a covered firewood shed with dry firewood as well. There are maintained trails with river access for kayaks. There is a porta potty near the campsites with a handwashing station, that is open year round. There is a single bathroom with flush toilet and sink with running water that is a short walk away (open May-Oct depending on weather) There is an outdoor on-demand hot-water shower at bathroom, with a water hose available as well. On-demand hot water heaters provide hotter water at a low water pressure, and cooler water at full blast. Campsites are a short walk (100-200 feet) away from parking area (you cannot drive directly to or park at your campsite). Foster Park is a short bike ride away where you will find greenway trails that run throughout Fort Wayne (ride your bike to downtown!!) Our property backs up to the St Mary's River, bring you kayaks and fishing poles! (We reserve the right to assign you to a different (but equally beautiful) campsite in the case of property maintennance concerns, recent rain or weather conditions etc). Now it is our home and houses my riding stable. Many people have commented on how nice it is. I thought this would be a great opportunity to share its beauty and the animals with others.Learn more about this land:We have 6 spots to pitch a tent, but we're pretty flexible so if you see another area, please ask!. Site 10 is most secluded. The others are around our grassy barnyard area where you're able toenjoy all of our different animals!. All sites are 2-5 mins from the main house. You will be staying at our horse farm. We have many chickens, 2 bunnies, potbelly pigs, feeder pigs (depending on the time of year), and our 3 house dogs. We offer overnight equine amenities as well. You can enjoy a small fire (weather dependent) or listen to the crickets and frogs under the starry night. Actually, you can do it all. We offer rides on the horses as well, (extra charges). You can even book a trip to the state park to ride the horse trails, which is only 15 minutes away. There is a great fishing lake 1 mile from the farm, so bring your poles & kayaks. There is a Dollar General, 2 gas stations, and a liquor store in our tiny little town if you forget anything.
