We've stayed at this cabin before and it's a beautiful building on a beautiful secluded piece of land - thoughtful touches throughout to make it feel like a home away from home. Will stay again!

If you're needing a camp spot anywhere in the area - this is the one!
We've stayed at many hipcamps all over the country and I'd have to say that Rich's camp was the cleanest, nicest, and over all best one we've stayed at so far.
The site:
It was peaceful and surrounded by woods. Rich put a lot of thought into designing the layout and it absolutely shows.
We were far enough off the road (dirt and quiet) that the few cars that did pass were no issue at all. You can't even see the road from the situation your camper .
The gravel pad was perfectly level and didn't even require leveling blocks (a first for us). We had the place all to ourselves, except for the wild turkeys who would pass through occasionally.
The view of pines from every window was just so nice and relaxing. There was also a gazebo with picnic table provided that was fantastic. Clean, sturdy and very important - spider free!
Rich:
What a truly nice man! The world would be a better place if there were more people like Rich.
He reached out before check-in and gave us directions to the spot, eating recommendations for in town, activity ideas, and checked on us day of to see how our travel was going. He stopped by to ensure that we were doing ok during our stay, and stayed to chat for while. It was lovely.
Needless to say we would absolutely stay again.

Beaver Bay was such a beautiful and fun place for a weekend camping trip with the fam. Kids and our dog had plenty of space to play and explore, and the kayaks were a great addition so we all had the opportunity to paddle on the lake. The water a ways out from the dock is pretty deep which was so refreshing for a quick swim! There was more than enough space for our trailer, two tents, and three cars. The extra table made a nice camp kitchen area. There are a few neighbors nearby, which was no problem especially with the privacy fencing and trees, we were more than able to relax and enjoy the outdoors peacefully. At night, you can hear train horns as they pass through nearby, which didn’t bother us but if you’re sensitive to that you might consider ear plugs if you’re tent camping. Thanks for sharing this spot with us, we hope to visit again soon!

We had such a great time at this spot. Unfortunately the smoke is bad right now but we still managed to enjoy ourselves. The view is incredible, super clean port-a-potty and everything was very clearly laid out for us to effectively utilize the site. We are definitely coming back again! Not buggy this time of year except for some yellow jackets.

A very nicely appointed site a short drive from town and plenty other great outdoor activities. It's the perfect base camp for exploring the area of Northern ID. Sites have full hookups, are level, private and wide, with a covered picnic bench and a small, lockable shed. The amenities at this Hipcamp reset my expectations and are now the baseline by which all others will be judged. Other than a short semi-steep climb off the road, it's very easy to get into your spot (even for large rigs).
A few FYI's to be aware of. First, bring Yellow Jacket traps. They were constant when we visited in late August. They're chasing moisture, so keep wet stuff away from you and you'll be fine. Second, this is the real Idaho. There's a sandpit a few miles away where people shoot, as well as a local competition on Sunday at another location near the Hipcamp. Both are shooting away from your location, so you're not "down range"...but something to be aware of.

We had a fantastic stay at the cabin. It is a cute and cozy space, not too far from coeur d’alene but outside the city enough to avoid the noise and city lights. The dogs felt really comfortable and were able to run around and explore. We had all the comforts of home away from home and Aran was a really welcoming and responsive host. Would love to go again in the colder months to stoke a fire and enjoy the beautiful scenery in winter

Ever had that perfect spot where the sky is clear, the air is fresh, and the view is wonderful? This is it! A great place for small groups, kayaking, floating the river or biking the Trail of the CDA's. The hosts are kind. Communication is excellent! Directions are clear!

Flying squirrel was occupied by girls ranging in age from 14 to just shy of 18. They loved their days there. I could hear the late night laughing and joyful tones of their voices. Having the small fire pit so they could make s'more was brilliant. They loved exploring the camp and leaving their fairy houses for others to enjoy. They are planning their 18th birthday celebration there. Thank you for providing such a beautiful location to strengthen the bonds of family and friends.

A better time could not have been had! Everything was perfect. The gentle rain allowed time for reflection and restorative rest. We laughed, loved, and connected on a deeper level. Four generations and friends gathered and made lifelong memories. We can't wait for our next visit.

My husband, our 4 year old son, and myself tent camped at Stephen’s place for one night before a trip to Silverwood. We loved the included kayaks and thoughtful outdoor furniture throughout the campsite.
Our only “complaint” would be the bathrooms— the permanent one didn’t seem to be working properly, and the port-a-potty desperately needed to be serviced!
We know that it’s a rarity to find a campground with clean, nice smelling toilets, though, so it didn’t affect our stay all that much.
It felt private, even though it’s right next to a well-traveled road, and it was pretty quiet at night— nothing but crickets!
We had a great night camping here and recommend it.
