The property has so much history. Larry purchased the 16 acres in 1978 as nothing but a field. His dream was to raise Arabian Horses, so that is what the property was set up to do and he did just that, very successfully. We did convert a few acres into a Market Garden a few years ago and started Kraay's Market Garden, you can find us online. Including turkeys, deer, eagles, hawks, fish, rabbits, lizards, otters, and many other wild animals. **This is a natural, untouched, raw property. ******Please set your expectations correctly. Right now the experience is much closer to actual camping experience rather than a commercial campground but with the benefit of only being 10 minutes from the river in one direction and 10 minutes from town in the other direction. Come stargaze with very little light pollution and enjoy the quiet nature around. There are no amenities other than 3 designated/private spaces to pitch a tent or pick-up/van campers and a professionally maintained outhouse. Respect the property, and the wildlife and ecosystem it supports. We are happy to share the space while we continue to grow and develop this awesome piece of ground. ********For everyone's safety and to respect our neighbors quiet hours and privacy that surround the property there will be no check in's after 10PM**********

Learn more about this land:Welcome to our pasture oasis! Our property is 4 miles down the road from BLM, where you are able to do any outdoor activities you desire. Personally, I love to ride horses and hike there. You may be greeted by horses or dogs on our property, and it's quite possible that you will hear coyotes at night (light sleepers take this into account). If you are a horse or dog lover, you are able to interact with our animals on the property! I am on the property, as well, for any questions/issues/concerns. There is a runoff river that runs through the property but rarely has water. We like to use it for campfires instead! Please reach out with questions and we look forward to your visit!

Enjoy privacy and solitude on beautiful high-desert acreage. A wonderful place to relax and unwind, or set up camp to be close to a variety of activities in the Buhl and Hagerman areas. Take in the beautiful views and rolling, tree-lined landscape and stay entertained by the wildlife, including quail, rabbits, owls, deer, geese, turkeys, and the occasional skunk, that call the ranch home. Sip your morning coffee under the covered patio while watching the sunrise light up the sky with colors you won't see anywhere else. Enjoy a lazy afternoon reading books in the gentle breezes with a beautiful view of the mountains to the north. In the evening, sit under the stars and listen to the wildlife that comes to life at dusk. Clowder 9 Ranch is off the beaten path, but close to many outdoor activities, and just a short 7 minute drive to the quaint town of Buhl where you can enjoy shopping, dining, and fun local activities.

Looking for a stopover place with plenty of parking space? Maybe our site will be a match for you and your RV! (If your rig is not fully self-contained, please note that we do not offer facilities of any kind. You will need a privacy tent for your own portable restroom.) Our house and shop and a few other outbuildings sit on 3.5 acres on a dead-end dirt lane, and we have space we'd be open to sharing with you. We have updated our listing (May 2024) to accommodate your preferably-fully-self-contained unit in our side yard area only (because of irrigation timing in the back-yard area, we are no longer offering that area for your stay). Your parking/dry-docking space in our side yard boasts several large trees and some shade. There are some branches to navigate but there is ample space to choose your perfect spot. The site runs alongside our driveway so our vehicles will obviously be visible from your parking spot but there is plenty of room there for your extra vehicle(s) in our driveway as well. This spot has very little privacy because it is set back from our dirt lane and in between our home and our neighbor’s shed (but they are family). But it is peaceful and safe (and we are very close to "town" and all the conveniences of such). Being almost next to the Snake River, and having a natural marsh just to the North of our property, mosquito repellant is highly recommended during certain times of the year. We are just a few miles (5 mins or so) from the freeway, Walmart, restaurants, and public access to the Snake River (boating, fishing, swimming), and golfing. We have three friendly dogs (lab, Yorkie, pug-chihuahua) but we have an underground fence system so they will generally be out of your area (with a few exceptions) and most likely in our house much of the time. (Must love dogs. ♥️) IF YOU HAVE DOGS, please keep them on a leash and clean up after them appropriately, thanks!
