Micone Ranch

Our place is 28 acres, and you can camp in a variety of locations. From spring to fall, do not drive into the upper field, there is a stop sign on that gate. Even if the gate is open do not enter, it is irrigated, and you could get stuck and cause property damage. Our niche is that we only host one group of people at a time. Whether you are a solo camper or a group of 50, you will never have to compete for space with another group. This also allows for increased safety for single women, elderly, and others who want increased safety. Keep in mind that winter brings snow, and we have a small bridge to cross and a slanted driveway. We are open year-round but make sure your tires can handle our terrain. Our driveway is immediately off Ontario Heights Rd. Google sometimes tells people to turn on Grand View Lane. Do not do this as there is no access to our property from that direction. We have a 300-gallon trash bin next to our mailbox that says camp host. Our driveway is immediately across the road from there. The gate is latched but not locked on the left side. Initial fee covers a spot for one sleeping structure. Add any additional tents/rv/vehicles used for sleeping. You can add extra sleeping structures under the extra tab. Included in options to buy is RV power hook up and EV overnight charging. A small somewhat muddy creek runs through the front of the property year-round. The water is clearer during the winter and spring months. Cleared spots in this area are available in the non-snow months are small so only tent camping in this area is recommended. It is densely wooded. We do have goats in this field, but they are generally shy. Oregon has an invasive poisonous weed called Water hemlock. If you plan to camp in this area, please familiarize yourself with this plant so you can avoid it. Camping areas have been cleared of this plant but if you wander along the creek you will encounter it. Other camping areas that people have liked are up top by the top field gate, or down in the field that our large chicken coop is in. There are no large animals in those areas, but chickens do make noises. Up top we have roosters that make noise about 5 am. The lower field on the right is the quietest. If you have children camping near the house is recommended. The bridge at the entrance to our property is 11' wide, which should allow a standard 8' RV to pass into the property. If you own an extra-wide RV's you should check its width before booking. Extra-wide RV's can park outside the property if you just need a place to park. Look us up on Facebook under Micone Ranch. The property is right after 519 it is a large open lot that leads down to the river. There is a black military vehicle parked on the very end close to the house. So there are two sections 1st is a flat section where you have plenty of room to set up tents and RVs. It is right off the road, and any car can get to the site with ease. The 2nd section is more wooded and has access to the river. You are welcome to tent camp here it is just getting an RV down there and out can be a challenge I don't recommend it. Also, the bridge across the river is the neighbors and so is the property across the river. There are roughly 4 campsites on the property but can camp where you want really. Large flat spot above the river that has access to the water. Half of the property is a flat spot for RV's and tents the 2nd half is more green, woody and has access to the river. There is a deeper spot in the river that is 3-4 feet deep and is perfect to lounge in during the hot parts of the summer. Please pack out what you pack in and keep the place nice for the next camper. Butterfield Farms

In the early 1900's three sheep ranchers--August Broderson, James Fisher, and Isaac Leighton--each purchased residential lots in Weiser and built brick homes designed by Idaho architect H. W. Bond. This property, which we named Butterfield Farms, was built in 1915 by August Broderson, who emigrated from Germany to the US in 1892. The Broderson family lived here for decades and were a prominent family in Weiser history. Learn more about this land:The campsite is located on our small family-run farm in Weiser, ID. Our 2 1/2 acre historic farm is located in the heart of town, so you have the best of both worlds: easy access to town amenities, and a restful retreat in nature at the end of the day. Grocery store, seasonal farmer's market, coffee shop, eateries, library, and downtown shops are all within easy walking or biking distance. Weiser is known world-wide for its annual fiddle festival in June! Our campsite is within walking or biking distance of all of the Fiddle Week activities. Campsite is located underneath a large shady oak tree. Campers are welcome to use the fire pit when fire bans are not in effect. Electric hookups are located immediately next to the campsite, as well as a non-potable water source. Note that we are located in town and campers are required to observe quiet hours between 10pm and 8am and be courteous of neighbors.
