We loved our stay at Sunset Place. It's a beautiful lot with a perfect view of the bay at sunset and all the comforts/amenities you could want from a campsite. We would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a quiet getaway in the area, and look forward to visiting again.

We loved the private site, right on the water! The empty lots on either side provided real privacy. The amenities provided were very much appreciated, especially the outdoor shower, which help limit the amount of sand we and our pup brought into our motorhome. We had the beautiful beach practically to ourselves over our entire three nights. We will definitely be back again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Escape to the Cape RV! It is a beautiful site within feet of the gulf with water views from every window. The pet-friendly beach made it nice to enjoy the sunny days with our dog. It’s only a mile from the general store and 15-20 minutes from restaurants in Port St Joe. We will definitely be back!

We have been all over the country in our motorhome and stayed in many wonderful places. However, nothing truly compares to parking just a few feet from the water, with 100 yards of pristine beach to yourself! This was our second stay at Escape to the Cape, and it will not be our last. A truly breathtaking location! If you have a class A, bring extensions for your electric and sewer and park facing the water. The view out the windshield is magnificent!

Large very well maintained site with very ample privacy. The best is the sunsets. This site is perfectly placed for the outstanding sunsets or watching the clouds roll in.I,personally am not an accomplished bird watcher but I was amazed at different species around. Location to either restaurants or beaches are not far. Full hookup always makes it nice also. We have stayed here before and both times communication with Ulises was top notch! Thank you! Will be back!

Excellent site - paved, level, quiet and secure. Came with a boat slip on the Carabelle river too. Friendly campers , beautiful pool, cook shack and convenient to great fishing. We’ll be back soon.

We loved camping here! The views were amazing and there was plenty of space for the kids to safely explore. We prefer our own space when camping and this was perfect! Close drive to town with cute restaurants, and shops. Easily bike-able to Salinas Park (public beach access), or a walk with a wagon. Ulises and Daylen were very helpful when I asked for some recommendations. We can’t wait to book with them again!

The quiet landscape and dark night skies were the absolute best! Sunset Place is perfect for daily runs into Port St. Joe, Cape San Blas, and Appilachicola. We would highly recommend this hipcamp and are looking into other dates to book and return. The owners are very responsive and communicate very well.

Wow! What a special place! Truly beach front camping and so private with an empty lot on each side and only a few houses in the vicinity. The beach is dog-friendly. It’s only a short stretch of beach but if you want access to more beach, you can just walk around the small condo with the sea wall. A bike path runs along the road so you can bike or walk the short distance to the little town. If it wasn’t such a long drive from Central Florida, we would camp here at least 3 times a year. We are so spoiled now that we have experienced Escape to the Cape!
