Just go a little bit further until you see the sign for Camp Seminole Spring. Bring bug spray and sun screen. If you need something, don't worry! There is a Dollar General, a gas station and a small cafe within walking distance. We have 38 acres of camping sites nature trails for hiking and mountain biking. Guests can park right on their site, or they have the option of parking and hiking into the woods to set up their site a bit more remote and off the beaten path. This is rustic camping. We have a bathhouse located at the campsites with showers. The bathhouse at the Great Lodge hereas we do have garbage cans, we prefer that anything you bring into the property, you bring out with you. We allow campfires. Don't be surprised if you see a monkey or two in the trees... The fishing is amazing in these parts, so if you are an angler, come and visit. We have .75 miles of frontage on the Orange Creek. The creek flows into Lake Ocklawaha which just so happens to be one of the best bass fishing lakes in the USA. In fact, ten-pound bass are not uncommon from the Lake Ocklawaha River in the winter. Recently (2020), a 17.2-pound bass was caught there. The combined Ocklawaha and St. Johns drainage basin is possibly the most significant river-estuary waterway of Florida. This water system is of legendary reputation among anglers of largemouth bass who seek 10 pound plus trophy fish. Conveniently located between Ocala and Gainesville in the heart of Orange Springs, Florida, Camp Seminole Spring is perfectly located for the traveler who wants to really connect with nature. It appears to be ‘off the beaten path’, yet it is close enough to civilization so that even the most seasoned camper can make a quick run to store should he or she need something not found in nature. Camp Seminole Spring is mid-way (approx.. 22 miles) between Ocala and Gainesville, Florida, which are two thriving cities in this area of Florida. Ocala, the ‘horse capital of the world’ showcases a brand new multi-billion-dollar equestrian center which draws people from all over the world. This scenic property has an artesian spring which pushes out 1.6 million gallons of water per day rated among the top three percent of water in the world with an 8.4 natural pH. This water fills the pond and then continues on to flow into Orange Creek. Camp Seminole Springs was established in the 1940’s as a honeymoon resort and campground. The founders built a heart-shaped ‘pond-spring’ which is filled with the crystal-clear water pushed out from the spring where guests can lounge by the beach or gaze down into the bottom through the glass-like water or take a refreshing swim. At the top of the hill overlooking the heart-shaped spring, one will find the rustic Great Lodge where guests can come and mingle with each other, enjoy a relaxing conversation and a drink on the veranda or just sit and watch the activity in and around the spring.

You select the space you where you wish to set up camp. The entrance off the dirt road is tricky for large rigs or trailers more than 35' may not have easy access. Our sites offer potable water, a shower, picnic tables, a toilet, wifi, trash disposal, space for campfires, and we are pet friendly! We can accommodate tents, RVs, and trailers. Our guests love staying here: "Camping at Gayle’s property was an amazing experience. We shared the field with 3 other campers but there was still plenty of room between sites. Land is flat and has fire pit spaces and BBQ grills. Outdoor shower was appreciated even though we didn’t use it & it was great to have the port-o-potty on site. The best part was getting to see the animals!"

Shiloh was the name of an early Florida town that was once located just down the road from our property. It was populated by hardy, adventurous folks who made a way for themselves and their families by clearing a spot along the lagoon, building a home and forging a life in a new location. But Shiloh is now lost, literally removed from the maps. It no longer exists. When NASA needed a perimeter zone for the newly emerging space program in the 1950s, the federal government purchased large swaths of land between Oak Hill and Titusville, FL. Residents were bought out and forced to move. Houses were relocated or demolished. Shiloh disappeared into history while the space-age pushed forward into the future. However... some foundations still can be found in the woods not far away, if you know where to look. There are even cemeteries that remain, whispering the names of individuals and families. Our two level (full hookup) RV pads are on beautiful Anastasia Island within walking distance to the Atlantic ocean, Pier Court Park and the St. Augustine Amphitheater. They both have electric, black and grey water cleanout, fast high speed internet (full hookup). They each have private patios for picnics, socializing, and relaxing. Both pads have high speed internet. Pad 1 accommodates an RV up to up to 32' in length. Pad 2 accommodates an RV up to 34' in length. We accept small Class A Motorhomes (32' and under), Class B, Class C, Small 5th Wheel, Pop-up Campers, Vans and Travel Trailers. Sorry, no tent camping is allowed. There is also a large back deck with picnic area overlooking the small fishing lake in the back yard. We enjoy meeting fellow travelers and sharing our paradise island. We are LGBTQ friendly. Our neighborhood is quiet and safe. The location has easy access to great adventures, history and wonderful memories may be made here. A few Campers favorite places to visit are Mount Dora Bike Trail - 2.6 miles, Kelly Park - 11 miles and Kings Landing 12 miles from farm. We offer youth day camps on various dates, pony rides and a tour of our farm animals for an additional fee. Reservations required in advance due to the other activities we have going on. In 2007, we had no idea where this adventure was going to take us. Our small urban farm was sharing our miniature animals with assisted living facilities and Neulife, where we have 3 miniature horses that live on their property. Little by little we have evolved into more of a need to share with the community and help others with the relaxing qualities our farm and animals have to offer, we want to be able to share and better educate with hands on experiences, teach kindness, patience, confidence and help others to be the best they can be. Tennis court, pickle ball courts and a play ground is across the street. 20-30 min to Daytona Beach or historic St.Augustine. A little over an hour to Orlando with Disney, Universal and other parks, Jacksonville or Cape Canaveral. Whatever your interest is - you can find it around - many of restaurants, wine tasting, fresh food market 7 days a week, NASCAR, Auditorium with performances, water sports, bike week, movie theater, and many more.  We have a water and electricity hook ups for 4 spots. Spaces for the boats are available also. No sewage disposal.There is a dog on the property. Dogs are ok but have to be cleaned after and be on the leash.Please no loud noise after the dark, no drugs or heavy drinking.Our guests love staying with us " We enjoyed our stay at Roxie’s place. Really great location close to the beach and grocery stores and restaurants, yet it is still in a quiet place just off the beaten path. Roxie is a wonderful host who met us upon arrival and departure to make sure all was going well. She even gave us some amazing fresh eggs from her chickens that roam freely on the land. (Be prepared for a lot of rooster crowing EARLY in the mornings). Our campsite was level and had water and electric. It was not too close to the other campers who were there and we had plenty of privacy. Star gazing was awesome! Highly recommend."

There is a Dollar General, a gas station and a small cafe within walking distance. We have 38 acres of camping sites nature trails for hiking and mountain biking. Guests can park right on their site, or they have the option of parking and hiking into the woods to set up their site a bit more remote and off the beaten path. This is rustic camping. We have a bathhouse located at the campsites with showers. The bathhouse at the Great Lodge hereas we do have garbage cans, we prefer that anything you bring into the property, you bring out with you. We allow campfires. Don't be surprised if you see a monkey or two in the trees... The fishing is amazing in these parts, so if you are an angler, come and visit. We have .75 miles of frontage on the Orange Creek. The creek flows into Lake Ocklawaha which just so happens to be one of the best bass fishing lakes in the USA. In fact, ten-pound bass are not uncommon from the Lake Ocklawaha River in the winter. Recently (2020), a 17.2-pound bass was caught there. The combined Ocklawaha and St. Johns drainage basin is possibly the most significant river-estuary waterway of Florida. This water system is of legendary reputation among anglers of largemouth bass who seek 10 pound plus trophy fish. Conveniently located between Ocala and Gainesville in the heart of Orange Springs, Florida, Camp Seminole Spring is perfectly located for the traveler who wants to really connect with nature. It appears to be ‘off the beaten path’, yet it is close enough to civilization so that even the most seasoned camper can make a quick run to store should he or she need something not found in nature. Camp Seminole Spring is mid-way (approx.. 22 miles) between Ocala and Gainesville, Florida, which are two thriving cities in this area of Florida. Ocala, the ‘horse capital of the world’ showcases a brand new multi-billion-dollar equestrian center which draws people from all over the world. Really great location close to the beach and grocery stores and restaurants, yet it is still in a quiet place just off the beaten path. Roxie is a wonderful host who met us upon arrival and departure to make sure all was going well. She even gave us some amazing fresh eggs from her chickens that roam freely on the land. (Be prepared for a lot of rooster crowing EARLY in the mornings). Our campsite was level and had water and electric. It was not too close to the other campers who were there and we had plenty of privacy. Star gazing was awesome! Highly recommend."

Love how private it was. My family enjoyed the camp fire and easy time. Stephen was so kind and was out on the street greeting us as we drove in to make sure we made it safely. Very communicative host. Love being able to camp away from the city but still see the nights of lights

Weekend Trip to Roots ReTREEt in Old Florida
Jay’s place is such a gem! I booked last minute for one night on my way to south Florida and wish I could have stayed longer. The property is huge and beautiful, with big shade trees and a relaxed, old Florida vibe. Jay was out of town during my stay but Todd and Liz, the hosts/caretakers, could not have been nicer or more accommodating (thanks again for everything Liz!) Highly recommended!
