We opened to the public on Labor Day 2014. Most people come to stay either in our rental cottage or in their horse trailers/RVs with their horses to ride the awesome trails in the 20,000+ acre adjacent Croom Forest. However, because our ranch is so peaceful, many stay here without horses just to enjoy the peace and quiet. There are many opportunities to recreate in the area, including outstanding mountain and road biking, OHVing, hiking, golfing, and canoeing/kayaking. Many full-time and working RVers stay for extended periods. Note that our camping area is small and intimate, so you will be close to other campers. We have 5 30-amp hookups, and 2 50-amp hookups; if you need 50-amp service, please request it. Note that a minimum of a 2-night stay will typically be required on weekends, especially during our busy season. WiFi is available, but we call it "Country WiFi" since it sometimes can be slow and may or may not be accessible from where you are parked; also, Verizon cell service in our area is terrible. If internet access is important to you, we suggest having your own hotspot or internet service (many working RVers have Starlink). Note that GPS can be very mean in our rural area; make sure your turn off Highway 50 is onto paved High Corner Road, which is 2 miles west of I-75 (if GPS tries to turn you down unpaved, dead-end roads, DO NOT LISTEN..you will get stuck!).

Fishing and kayaking in the Homosassa Bay is great all year long. Your space is limited to parking area, dock front, and seating area under our stilt home. We thoroughly enjoyed ringing in the New Year at Spotted Dance Ranch! Kym & John were wonderful hosts. They have a lil slice of paradise to share and it is oh so peaceful. They have 7 full hook ups for RV and a cute lil cottage on-site available for rent as well. We will definitely return in the very near future! Thank you both for sharing your ranch via Hipcamp!

Excellent in town spot to set up. We stayed here for almost a full week as we were visiting family in Tarpon. Location was surprisingly quiet for being a neighborhood setting, easy access right off 19. Very level and the hook ups worked perfectly. The space accommodated our 20ft travel trailer and tow vehicle easily, courtyard area is perfect for lounging, drinking coffee or just enjoying the weather. Host was very responsive and provided an excellent welcome/instruction message prior to us getting there. Highly recommend this spot. We will be utilizing this space anytime we come into Tarpon. Thank you for a great experience! Also check out Queens Pizza and restaurant at the end of the street (2 minute walk). Great pizza and service.

We loved camping at Chuong’s land. Our travel trailer fitted perfectly with enough room to walk around comfortably. Location is super convenient. Only minutes away from the Sponges deck, Starbucks, Pharmacy, Publix., Panera! Quiet and Cozy. Access to the electricity, water and sewer super convenient as well. Place is so clean that it gives you a beach vibe. Loved it!

We can’t wait to go back to Spotted Dance Ranch! Kym approved us quickly and was very communicative regarding directions, offered info on nearest grocery, restaurants and more. (It was easy to get in and out thanks to following host directions vs gps.) John was super helpful and answered all of our questions upon arrival as well. Leveling and set up was a breeze. Everything was well maintained and cared for. Our dogs enjoyed stretching their legs on the property after our dog show. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere after a hectic day too. 1000% would stay again, but next time we hope to stay longer so we have time to meet the horses. Don’t hesitate if you are considering booking here. It’s a great place to stay! John & Kym are wonderful hosts with a lovely ranch.

Such a great spot! Clean, level gravel pad tucked behind a privacy fence with lots of room to spread out (not around the camper since it’s tight on the sides) and super cute seating areas with grill. We felt very safe and secluded even being a block away from a busy area. Host was very accommodating and quick to respond!

We booked the RV spot at Manatee Landing Retreat for Mother’s Day weekend, and even though the weather was mostly rainy and cloudy, it didn’t rain on our parade! In fact, having the place mostly to ourselves made it feel like our own private oasis. The tiki hut was a total game-changer—giving us shelter when the rain did come through, and a cozy place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. When the sun peeked out, we made the most of it with kayaking, bouncing on the trampoline, and exploring the beautiful area with our dogs, who absolutely loved it. Even with the clouds, the peaceful vibe and thoughtful amenities made it a weekend to remember. We can’t wait to come back—hopefully with a little more sunshine next time

This is a charming spot complete with all the amenities to enjoy the river. Having use of the kayaks, fire pit and bbq made it feel like home and interacting with the other guests made it even better. Would stay here again. If your vehicle is wide or you are not super confident backing up this space may be intimidating and it is difficult to use the dump so we chose not to at this spot. If you have a van or smaller camper there should be no problem.

What a gem! This place is a water, nature and plant lovers paradise! Launching your kayak (or there a LOTS to borrow) from the property takes it to an entire new level. The fire pit, tiki hut and grounds are great! Will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Weeki Watchee! PS - I saw manatee, dolphins, turtles, every bird imaginable when I was there in early April. The trick to be out of the crowds is go up ABOVE Rogers park toward Mud River. I’ve done all of Weeki many times and this was by far my favorite!
