Welcome to Smokey Acres! This property has been in my family for decades. My Husband and I were married under the oaks and have had our share of campfires out there. Down a hidden gravel drive with wetlands on either side you will find a completely fenced in field surrounded by pine, oak, and swamp maple trees. There are two ponds located on the property both stocked with bass, bluegill, and sunfish. The front pond is home to many natural Florida wildlife and is a great location to bird watch. Located a few miles from Brooksville and the Suncoast Parkway, this quiet and peaceful setting is just 5 minutes from the parking area and trailhead for the Suncoast Trail and 10 miles from the famous Weeki Wachee Springs, where you can spend the day at the local park or float down the river with the manatees. Withlacoochee State Park and other natural preserves with trail access and kayaking are only a short distance away, and Dames Cave, Homosassa Springs, and Chasawiska Springs are all within a ~20-minute drive as well. Spending a day at the beach is easy with plenty of options along the Nature Coast. We’re also less than an hour from Tampa and Clearwater and two hours from Orlando. A perfect weekend get-away for anyone looking to “unplug,” Smokey Acres is also a great stop for those passing through the area. We are a close distance to many racing, livestock, boating and fishing events. We have no problem accommodating whatever you’re towing! Whether you'd like a leisurely day on the river or an adventure in the Gulf, there are plenty of boating options nearby. Be sure to make it back to the property in time to enjoy amazing sunsets that bring peace and tranquility to your experience. 1 night at Yurt Glamping Nature in the City

We loved our stay at Ellen’s yoga yurt! It was better than I even could have expected, and was such the perfect little spiritual retreat. We opted to add on the Kundalini Yoga and Sound Bath experiences and are SO happy that we did. These are the kind of experiences you usually have to travel out of the country for. I truly loved the design and the decorations, and especially all of the sound bowls and instruments I got to play with while I was there. The gong and the rain stick were a few of my favorites. The tree house was another super fun addition, and climbing up into it took me back to my childhood. It was truly magical and I can’t wait to come back again. Thank you, Ellen 🙏🏼🧘🏼‍♀️🕉️

Everything went well it was a very peaceful place. It was clean it was cute my only suggestion is is maybe bring something that pads the pull out bed they have in there but other than that everything else was perfect. Thank you so much for the space Star wars were fine bathroom was fine I had a couple of campfires it was just quiet and peaceful and I had massive alone time and I loved it. Mini fridge worked and AC probably worked but I never had to turn it on I just used the fan because it was cool evenings and it was a great base for me to stay in order to go fishing or out somewhere sleep late lay there or just listen to the sounds of the forest which I don't get to hear very often. Thank you thank you thank you so much. I'm probably going to stay again sometime.

It was a wonderful relaxing stay! Dona was a fantastic host and the tour was amazing! To see that many foxes up close, to feed them eggs was a bucket list moment!! Relaxing on the porch listening to the melodic howl of the papa new guinea dingo was something I didn’t know I needed in my life!! Also, the horses literally running around playing together is something I have never seen despite staying at horse sanctuaries before. Book now you won’t regret it!

We had a great time. We had our dog with us which is always a bonus. Our hosts helped us with whatever we needed and addressed any concerns we had quickly and attentively. We came for the river access and enjoyed it very much. Though they live nearby and there was another family renting another RV, it felt pretty private. We enjoyed the treehouse spot, the fishing dock, and the comfort of the RV at the end of each night. We’ll definitely be back! Thanks again!

This was a great experience for my boyfriend and I. As a nurse i prioritize peace and self care off the clock.....this property was definitely peaceful in a surrounding of nature that influences self care. Dawns land was full of greenery, she organized rental spaces to prioritize privacy. Our rental space was clean and organized. Easily to become a romantic setting for any couple. Bathroom was very clean and cute! Dawn herself was a welcoming and down to earth personality, which is refreshing. So detailed with around the area activities and food. We did not get to use the hot tub (we forgot about it) but I can garentee that would've been just as impressive. I plan to rent again! Thanks Dawn!!!!♡

Ou weekend trip to the area went perfect. There was very litte we need to leave for. There was great fishing spot for my children. Kyake use was included. Several grills to chose from even an area for projecting a movie. RV was well maintained and fully stocked in case you forget your own stuff. We really enjoyed ourselves and thank the Host for greeting us.

Yurt was bigger than I expected! I went there to meditate, do yoga, enjoy a sound bath and ground. The yurt has magical energy and I really enjoyed my experience. A short walk to the bathroom is a great city glamping experience. Excellent for yoga & meditation retreats the yurt could sleep more people than advertised., the host was exceptionally accommodating to create a customized stay & gave us concierge service & reserved a table at 5 star restaurant nearby!

2 nights at Riverside Retreat

This was an awesome experience for my husband, myself and two grandsons aged 12 & 13. We live in SW Florida and love to camp. I stumbled across this amazing property on Hipcamp. It was like camping in the best possible place in Florida. A very comfortable RV that slept the four of us quite comfortably. Very well equipped kitchen but no oven. The best part was outside. The property sits right on the Withlacoochee River and kayaks are included so my grandsons were able to master the art of paddling while we were there. The rest of the time they were fishing and every time they cast their lines, they would have a blue gill on their hook within five minutes, we counted at least thirty fish between them. They have dartboards, toys, fire pits, beautiful lighting at night. This would be a great place for a family reunion or a group of friends if they like the outdoor life. Sandra and her husband were awesome hosts. We plan on going back soon.
