Meadow Hot Springs Glamping Cabin

The Zella Hut is a cabin built in the late 1800's.  It was redone in the 70's and recently updated with mid century modern interiors.

Now it serves as a backcountry hut in the winter and glamping cabin in the summer.  

During the winter it can be accessed by skinning, snowshoeing and snowmobiling.

During the summer it can be accessed by car.

Its a small cabin, but it can sleep 4 in comfort.

No Rv campers, van and sprinter rvs ok.

Buckeye's Cozy Romantic Cabins

Buckeye's Cabin is located 4 miles outside the Town of Leadville on the upper most reaches of the Arkansas river headwaters on highway 91 as you head towards Freemont Pass. Itis just at the bottom of the pass at the point where Mt. Elbert, Colorado's highest peak and Mt Massive come into view. It is part of an old ranch that sits on a gold mining claim and is an authentic old, comfy, cozy cabin. 

Huge picture windows look out onto Mt. Elbert, Colorado's highest peak, and the Beaver Ponds of the very upper headwaters of the mighty Arkansas River. Sit by the woodstove with glass door and be mesmerized by the crackling flame. Turn on the satellite TV with surround sound and lose yourself in time.

The reading room is a quiet place to escape on the feinting bench with a good book.

Romantic bedroom with comfy queen bed. A perfect place to end the day.

Sit back in the comfy antique recliner and watch the flame in the woodstove through the glass door, as the aspen leaf's flicker in the wind outside the picture windows that look out onto Mt. Elbert, Colorado's highest peak. The Beaver ponds across the street, teeming with trout, await your exploration. The sunset colors on the surrounding mountain peaks will amaze you as you sit on the sundrenched deck.

Mining tours, museums, hiking, skiing, 4 wheel drive roads, dog sledding, snowmobiling, train rides, biking, fishing, & ice climbing are some of your options. Of course reading a good book by the fire rates high also.

Leadville, Colorado is an old western Town full of charm, mountains, scenic lakes, rivers, and wildlife. Great restaurants, bars, and café’s await your culinary delight. An old historical mining Town from the late1800’s’ in the midst of Colorado’s highest mountain peaks.

Clear Creek Getaway

Welcome to Clear Creek Getaway 

Please understand that winter is approaching and it gets really cold up there I will not be maintaining the roads. It is a beautiful, secluded spot in the winter to snowshoe up and snowshoe out parking will be available at the bottom and it’s less than 1/8th of a mile walk uphill, if anyone is interested, just email me for details on how to book 

Please note these Mountains are home to a lot of people therefore I do not allow any open burning wood burning  no one wants start  a forest fire even though the county will say it’s OK for open burn. Please respect The neighbors they request that we do not have open flame. I’m sure you can understand.

Roads :

This is a mountain getaway so the roads are dirt.

If you have Awd and keep your speed up you will make it fine. The road is a loop the backside can have rocks so please drive up in high clearance vehicles no need for crazy lifted just SUV-Trucks type 

We are available all year round.  

No power in units.

All A-Frames come with a grill and propane (see photos), and there is also a solar motion light on the deck..

Located 10 minutes by car from historic gold town Idaho Springs.

River rafting when in season. We also have some of Colorado’s best fly fishing.

Awesome hikes nearby (Gray's Peak). We are also close to st Mary’s Glacier, gold mine tours, great small-town restaurants (Marion’s pizza, Beau Joe’s)

We have  portable toilets located close to the units

All mining roads can be used for off-road purposes at your own risk. Be careful, very steep and rocky.

( Please note ) after tremendous amounts of work on the road, it seems 2wd cars cannot make it and this place is not suitable for those campers. Please do not block the road going up or the residence in the mobile home park on the front of the road.

When coming from east exit 234 Dumont go left over I 70 to Stanley and then left behind the mobile home. Come from the west 235 go left under I70 at Starbucks turn right go 1/2 mile first right go back over I 70 to Stanley and harvest moon trail go left up behind mobile homes NOTE THIS IS LOOP DONT TAKE STEEP ROAD (GO TO THE LEFT).

Clear Creek Glamping

Welcome to Clear Creek Glamping! A glamping dome surrounded by mountains. 

We are located on the same property as the Clear Creek Getaway Hipcamp. 

Clear Creek Glamping offers a beautiful glamping dome less than 1 hour from Denver, CO.

Our site includes a queen bed, picnic table, and gas BBQ for all of your cooking needs. 

There is a porta potty available for campers to use (about 70ft away from the dome). No water provided, campers must bring their own! 

There is cell service, but no wifi. 

Idaho Springs, CO is a 15 minute drive where you can find plenty of hiking trails, rafting, hot springs, and more.

Keystone and Breckenridge are both under one hour away. 

River rafting closeby when in season. We also have some of Colorado’s best fly fishing.
