Charming rural neighborhood surrounded by gorgeous mountain views and wine country. A serene and tranquil environment perfect for relaxation with its rolling hills, lush valleys and picturesque landscape. Take in the beautiful star studded night sky while lounging in our hot tub with a glass of wine. Golfing is available just down the street and neighboring wineries are a very short drive. Beautiful hiking trails to explore here. Centrally located near cities and attractions like Lego land, Sea World and Disneyland too!
Things to note:
*Pets are welcome. Pet fee is $50 per night per pet
*No outside fires - a propane BBQ and fire pit are supplied for guests enjoyment.
*Children are welcome but this is not a good fit for infants. No baby amenities provided
*Guests will be given a security keypad code that must be entered in order to gain access to the driveway that leads to the left towards your private tiny home on the hill. Private entry and parking for 2!
*Guests will have exclusive full access to the 1 bedroom home, expansive deck with outdoor eating area, BBQ, fire pit, hammock, and jacuzzi.
*We take the approach of being hands off on the property unless needed, so do not plan to visit with us in person during your stay (unless there is an issue that needs to be addressed) - we want you to feel like you have the home all to yourself!
*NO PARTIES/ EVENTS/ GATHERINGS. MAX OCCUPANCY observed on property. Limit of 2 guests MAX. Please do not book this property if you are looking to party as you will be asked to leave with no refund.
*There is plenty of parking along our spacious unpaved driveway leading up to the home and it is secured by our private security gate.
*Quiet time is 10pm- 7am (music off, voices down)
*Please do not disturb neighbors *Bringing pets? There is an additional fee of $50/night per pet. If you choose the option on Hipcamp for a pet and it exceeds that amount we will send you an invoice post-booking for the remaining balance. *Please notify me prior to arrival (up to 2 pets) — over 25lbs requires $200 pet deposit

Guests may incur charges for any loss of propane if the fire pit is left unattended for extended periods. *The Den resort fee covers spa maintenance, cleanings, and propane for fire pit use. If there is ever an issue with the spa or fire pit we can refund you this $35 spa & fire pit resort fee. Pets are not allowed in the hot tub.
*Guests arriving after dark: Twin Oaks Valley road is not well lit (due to no street lights). Proceed slowly with headlights on. Address is posted at the entrance. *Smoke detector - I will be notified if there is smoking inside the townhome ($200 fine) *Minut – sound detection at high decibels – I will be notified at 85 decibels during regular hours and over 70 decibels during quiet hours. If it gets very loud you will be notified too. We cannot hear what is being said, just measured sound decibels.
*Exterior Cameras- Security gate, driveway and front door- audio & visual recordings activated by motion sensor and in place for safety measures.
*Special note after the COVID-19 Crisis: Protecting each other’s health and safety is very important to us. Tiny Cabin #2 (TC2) sits on top of the property with Mountain to Ocean views. It's a great place for a weekend getaway for Star gazing, watch a sunset and City lights. A place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.
A short drive away is the towns of Alpine and Descanso, Cuyamaca State Park and Laguna Mountain. San Diego Beaches are down I-8 .
TC2 has two seating areas for your privacy. Plus, plenty of space to roam around. It's above the common game and dining area.
Inside has a queen size bed, a small refrigerator, sink, Coffee maker, and cabinet with cooking supplies. There is a microwave, one burner hot plate. The BBQ is propane.
We have made some improvements to the TC put in new sturdy steps, bed frame and lights.

This place is honestly stunning. It’s beautiful, incredibly comfortable, and has everything you could ever need. Waking up to that morning view from the bed was absolutely magical — truly unforgettable. The whole space was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully put together.
The host was incredibly caring and attentive, always making sure I was okay and had everything I needed. Her kindness and quick responses made the stay even better.
Five stars aren’t enough to describe how amazing this place is. This was the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in, and I’m definitely coming back.

We've had a great time there with my three sons. The RV offered comfortable stay for 4 people. The place is very cozy and has everything you'd need for a relaxing staycation out of town: bathrooms with running water, kitchen, fridge, master bed and two bunk beds. Everything is clean and in good order. Jason, the host, was very accommodating and helped us set up a wood fire pit, where we enjoyed our little BBQ and marshmallows under the star-lit sky. We were pleasantly surpsised by the welcome basket full of goodies left by the host for our enjoyment. Dont forget to take off the shoes before going inside to keep the place clean and grab your trash bags on the way out.

The Little Red Barn is a cozy and comfortable glamping stay located conveniently near Valley Parkway in Escondido, close to shops, restaurants, and great hiking at Elfin Forest. It’s one of three glamping structures on the property. The high ceilings and additional loft mattress make the barn feel spacious, and we appreciated the little touches like electricity, a fan, and a heater for cooler nights. The shared bathroom area was clean, modern, and had reliable hot water — a big plus!
There’s plenty of shared outdoor space with picnic tables, lounge chairs, and seating areas, making it a great place to relax. We didn’t even need to use the heater during our mid-October stay — the weather was perfect.
This spot is a great introduction to camping for those who want the outdoor feel without being too far from the city. Our pup loved exploring the space (though the $50 pet fee is a bit on the higher side). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, laid-back glamping experience close to town!

The tent is really cute and welcoming. We had little trouble locating it at first due to GPS instruction. The tent has nice and comfortable blankets and bed / couch mattress are comfortable. Overall it is great stay. However. There is only one shared bathroom & shower for 3 units (which can total up to 10 people if fully occupied).. it will be nice to have an extra bathroom.

My daughter and I loved the tent! It was comfy and had plenty of room. There was a lot of outdoor space for hanging out and had a good view. It was nice and quiet at night. Restrooms and shower were very nice. Would love to go back and check out the cabins, they looked super cute as well!!

We had a fantastic time this weekend at JoLynn's place. It's a beautiful piece of land with great views and plenty of space to explore in the chaparral. The cabin was great and the heater was enough to keep it comfortable at night. I definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a peaceful stay in the mountains.

This was a very cute glamping spot. Easy to find and safely nestled on the property of the owner. You can tell the owner has put their heart and soul into decorating and furnishing the site. This was an amazing experience. The tent was decorated beautifully. The tent and bathroom was really clean. The tent was roomy and had exactly what you need including a tv, minifridge and heater. The outdoor communal area was great. You can tell the host cares deeply about offering a great space. She even had games and books in the tent to keep entertained. It was a great experience waking up to birds chirping. I would 100% rebook this.

Alina’s place was amazing! The site has great views of the valley below and is located a short commute from Stone Brewery & Restaurant, the San Diego Zoo and San Diego Wild Animal Safari Park. The tent was comfortable and came with a heater and Alina was a great host who made sure we had everything we needed. She prepared s’mores for the kids and all instructions were clear and easy. I would definitely recommend her place to others. It’s ideal if you’re going to the San Diego parks.
