No black water disposal. There are no toilets, laundry, or other amenities. We currently do not have garbage disposal, but will again soon.
No smoking or fires allowed. No exceptions. This is a high risk fire area.

Learn more about this land:A vast expanse of oak trees, California Junipers and rugged, mountainous land running with jackrabbits, quail, and owls that is just 3 miles from Vazquez Rocks and the PCT, our ranch transports you. From the tent campsite, you look out for 20 miles and see nothing but nature across small mountains and canyons all the way to the peaks of Angeles National Forest in the distance. The campsite is a large flat area. For a trailer or RV it's a great place to park and the view is towards wide open spaces. With a tent or if you want more pure nature, you can drive out onto the property further towards the small ruin of the old homesteader's cabin or beyond. The property has a long-abandoned gold mine and circular arrastres where miners used mules to break up rocks. Nearby Acton has pick-your-own apples/pears/peaches at Bloom farms. We are at 3000 feet with strong sun during the day and cool mountains air at night. The camping is set away from structures, but if you want to stroll, closer to the ranch buildings, we have friendly small goats you can visit if interested and horses and a donkey to say hello to across the corral fence.

They would live here in the winter, and spend the summers hunting and gathering pine nuts and acorns up in the Tehachapi and San Gabriel mountains. This region is called the Antelope Valley because there used to be antelope-looking creatures called pronghorns.My first trip out here was to watch the Blood Wolf Moon lunar eclipse of 2019. It didn't disappoint! This is the spot to come look at the stars, howl at the moon, eat jerky, draw weird cactus trees in your sketch book, whatever!Learn more about this land:Joshua trees 50 miles closer to LA than the Joshua Tree National Park!This is 2.5 acres of protected Joshua Tree lands in the Antelope Valley north of LA, between the snowy Tehachapi Mountains and the San Gabriel Mountains. My first time out there I saw BOTH ENDS of a rainbow in front of the snowy Tehachapis!! Super dark skies, and a million stars at night. You'll probably see the Milky Way! It does get breezy at night, so dress appropriately.It feels like the wild west out here, and that's the main appeal--no rules, nobody watching. Think long dirt roads, tumbleweeds, bones, and maybe some old bullet shells (there's no shooting allowed on the property anymore). This is not a state-maintained, paved, manicured operation--it's the edge of the desert wilderness. Please respect the property and clean up after yourself!This is for people who are comfortable exploring beyond a concrete slab with electricity and janitor-cleaned restrooms. There are no designated sites, so pick whatever looks good to you. We often have multiple parties at once, so feel free to spread out.This land used to be the domain of the Ketanemuk tribe, which I think means People From The East. In the summer they would go up and hunt and get pine nuts in the Tehachapi Mountains, and acorns from the oak trees in the San Gabriels.The property itself is along a dirt road called Avenue C. It's about a 20 minute drive from the town of Neenach (pronounced Nee-nack), where there's a general store and a cafe. They make a great breakfast burrito. It's also a few minutes from the State Poppy Reserve, which blooms in the spring with miles of California poppies.If you have a larger group or event in mind, get in touch! Learn more about this land:A vast expanse of oak trees, California Junipers and rugged, mountainous land running with jackrabbits, quail, and owls that is just 3 miles from Vazquez Rocks and the PCT, our ranch transports you. From the tent campsite, you look out for 20 miles and see nothing but nature across small mountains and canyons all the way to the peaks of Angeles National Forest in the distance. The campsite is a large flat area. For a trailer or RV it's a great place to park and the view is towards wide open spaces. With a tent or if you want more pure nature, you can drive out onto the property further towards the small ruin of the old homesteader's cabin or beyond. The property has a long-abandoned gold mine and circular arrastres where miners used mules to break up rocks. Nearby Acton has pick-your-own apples/pears/peaches at Bloom farms. We are at 3000 feet with strong sun during the day and cool mountains air at night. The camping is set away from structures, but if you want to stroll, closer to the ranch buildings, we have friendly small goats you can visit if interested and horses and a donkey to say hello to across the corral fence.

It does get breezy at night, so dress appropriately.It feels like the wild west out here, and that's the main appeal--no rules, nobody watching. Think long dirt roads, tumbleweeds, bones, and maybe some old bullet shells (there's no shooting allowed on the property anymore). This is not a state-maintained, paved, manicured operation--it's the edge of the desert wilderness. There are no designated sites, so pick whatever looks good to you. In the summer they would go up and hunt and get pine nuts in the Tehachapi Mountains, and acorns from the oak trees in the San Gabriels.The property itself is along a dirt road called Avenue C. This was such a great setup! We do not go camping often, so I wanted to book a spot that was between camping and “glamping”. This was that perfect inbetween! It does get pretty cold at night during the fall/winter, so make sure to pack plenty of extra layers and blankets. The campsite was very well taken care of, and there weren’t even any bugs inside the A frames. He even included a propane tank, which was great since we forgot to bring one! We had a lovely stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for camping near LA

Had a great time staying here with my family! Everything was so clean , there was cell service so that was nice ! Also some things to note there is a cooking area just no fridge so bring ice and a cooler! No water heater so the shower was cold but felt nice!!! There is a working toilet on site so that was amazing! Two A frames one with a king size bed which was very comfortable it can get windy throughout the day and night but honestly wasn’t a big deal. There’s a port to charge things and some night lights

The site is so great to go camping with a group. Some of us actually used our own tents, some who couldn’t handle the cold used the a-frames that are available. It was a nice little getaway from the cities and all the noise. The stars are sooo pretty at night. I brought my dogs and it was great, I didn’t have to worry about them at all, granted they are trained. They were wandering around and the site is far away from at street, that I let them do their own thing. The girls liked it so much, one of them is coming back with her family to enjoy the sight again.

Osman and his family have created such an inviting and comfortable environment. A labor of love you can appreciate. The communication and attention on their end was fantastic. We got our car stuck in the sand and Osmans dad saved us by getting us out! (He made magic happen) One of the A frames is shorter and smaller so WATCH YOUR HEAD. Its still very comfortable and cute
They provide fans and lanters per A frame.
THE BED IN BIG A FRAME IS SO VERY COMFORTABLE. A battery powers a small charging station inside as well
The kitchen and firepit area were niceley spaced and very comfortable to cook and work with. Everything was clean and well kept. They have a pool as well but we used it as extra table space. Shower is best during peak heat hours (after 12 pm)
WIND is inevitable in the desert so youll have to take that up with god and be prepared for wind and nature. Wind does help with heat so i was grateful for it
We saw two shooting stars our first night there.

1 night at Star Ranch
The heat is no joke in the summer but we did keep cool but dipping our feet into the pool and taking an outdoor shower. Once the sunsetted and the temperature cooled down we cooked and made a fire in the pit and watched the full moon rising over the east mountains. We brought binoculars so it was a gorgeous sight to see. We also spontaneously caught a shooting star in the sky!! Everything was very comfortable and stocked. We loved the cabin structure too, very unique. Overall it was a great experience and is a pleasant place to stay.

This is a really cool site with great amenities. I usually camp very nomadically and this was a very nice change of scenery! I tent camped but will be bringing the family back because the triangle lodging would be perfect for them. The bathroom is clean and very functional and was impressed with the shower set up.
I also liked the common area and cooking areas. Really great for windy environments with good shade. Lots of great aspects to this site and hope to bring the family during the winter time! Thanks for the great camp!

Loren’s property was amazing! It was the perfect spot right outside the city to break in my new camper. He was very helpful when I needed help with understanding my power needs. He’s got a bunch of cool props hanging around the property which were also pretty cool. There’s a great French restaurant down the street that’s perfect for a nice dinner and glass of wine. Definitely recommend!

The campsite was really nicely built! I appreciate the amenities that are offered. I did not have a plan to use the A frame although it was part of the whole camp fee, however, being unfamiliar with the desert winds, it came in clutch! The desert weather was no joke, so the amenities and lodging definitely made it worth while! The bathroom is also super nice for a camp out in the desert. Thanks for having us, Osman!

Staying at Cross Bull Ranch was an amazing getaway experience for my partner and I! We wanted to get out into nature somewhere that wasn't super far away from us and we definitely got what we were looking for. Lisa was a great host and we really enjoyed talking to her and plan on going back! Camp sites all were well maintained and we picked one with plenty of shade to get out of the summer heat. I recommend staying here if you want a convenient getaway. Wish we could've stayed longer! Thank you Lisa!!
