Our property is lakeside at Rollins Lake In Colfax.
We live on over 30 private, beautiful acres with footpath access to Rollins Lake. (3 minute walk from the dome or house, and 10-15 minutes from the cabin) where most summer days here are spent swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing ect., down at the water. Please note the Cabin is set on a seasonal CANNABIS garden. All three sites are vacation spots with AC and WIFI, not just simple accommodations, but experiences.
The remarkable property is very hilly with pines and oaks. You can follow our driveway to the bottom and access the beginning of The Bear River which has a nice hiking trail alongside it or drive 8 minutes to the nearest boat ramp and 10 minutes to the town of Colfax where you will find gas, groceries, and restaurants.
We have a beautiful spot where you will not see any neighbors so it is peaceful and private with gorgeous 360-degree views. It is also very safe! Bask in nature, quiet, and privacy!
In summer there is a 3-night minimum for the cabin and dome. Occasionally a two day midweek will pop up on the schedule last minute. To see correct pricing, enter your dates as they can fluctuate with holidays, weekends. Prices are decreased midweek.
We have 3 accommodations on the property
-A GUEST SUITE (lakeside), up to 5 people.
-A CABIN (15 min walk or 3 min drive/5 min walk, up to 4 people.
-A GLAMPING DOME with an additional teepee tent site (lakeside)! Up to 6 people.
We have fishing boat, kayaks, and paddle boards for rent.
If you want an epic stay in the forest, private and away from others, this is your place.
Also close to Grass Valley (15min), Nevada City (20 min), Colfax (less than 10).

The Dome was amazing , exactly what the pictures look like. The bathroom is so nice and the craftsmanship of the building is wonderful. The lake is just a short walk behind the property and is gorgeous. I would highly recommend this location and I’ll be coming back in summer for some swimming

Although our trip was just a short evening experience and we had to return home earlier than planned, our time at the dome tent was unforgettable. The setting provided complete privacy, breathtaking natural scenery, and incredible star gazing that made the night feel magical. We also loved the chance to feed the pigs — such a fun and unique feature of the property. The host was exceptionally communicative and responsive, making everything seamless despite our brief stay. We look forward to returning for a longer visit in the future!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Dome! Such a cool spot off the beaten path. From the deck to the view out of the dome to wagon for transport to the awesome bathroom / shower setup! Each detail was noticed and appreciated. If we lived closer we would definitely come back (when there’s not a 97 degree heat wave!)

Wonderful camp site, fun drive to the location (not suitable for low cars), accommodations were comfortable, and everything was clean. Shower has low water pressure BUT it was still awesome! Camp stove worked great (be sure to bring all of your cooking stuff). Unfortunately the fridge was only for two night stays and we almost had a horrible experience if we didn't bring ice. I suggest you bring a large ice chest to hold everything food related or else you'll be stressing!

We had a ton of fun. Geoffrey was helpful with any questions we had and was very nice!
We were able to hike to hidden falls regional park. It was great! We also saw deer, wild horses, cows, and got to feed his pigs.

We stayed in the dome for three nights and it was just lovely. Erin has thought of so many careful details that help made the visit very relaxing and fun. The nearby kitchen and bathroom are perfect and a shower had lots of hot water. Everything was very nice, peaceful and secure.
From the dome, the walk down to the lake is a little steeper and longer than expected. It was fine for exploring and fishing, but we wouldn’t want to pack our paddle boards, ice chest, shade etc. down there. For that it’s an easy drive to one of the nearby campgrounds where they have docks and boating facilities.

Exceeded every expectation. Erin and family created an environment of comfort, serenity and fun. The dome is awesome and has everything you would need and more. Probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, and you wake up to a beautiful view of dawn. The land is so well kept, and I've loved watching the many hummingbirds who visited the deck. Short trek to the lake, which was almost empty, but the water was awesome, and we saw many catching fish from the shore. The surrounding area is beautiful, and Colfax is a lovely little town.

I had a WONDERFUL time on Erin’s property. She’s clearly thought of everything! This was more like a stay in a nature-focused hotel than it was like tent camping.
It was remote and private, but close enough to town for anything you may need.
The lake is just a quick walk away, which was great. It does get a little steep. This was no issue for me or my 12yo dog, but just FYI!
Being a solo woman on this trip (with only my dog), I felt completely safe and was able to just enjoy. :)

This dome was super cute and modern feeling. The views were fabulous and the environment felt safe. The king bed made for a great nights sleep. All the amenities such as the grill, flushing toilets, refrigerator/freezer and microwave made it very homey. The short hike to the lake was easy. There is a path once you arrive at the lake that is nice and flat for walking. It was cloudy and rained one night we were there so we missed out on the stars, but the way the dome is set up you would be able to lay in bed and stargaze. The dome and area around the dome were really clean and maintained well. We will defiantly visit the dome again soon.

I had an amazing stay at the Dome Site at Sacred Valley Ranch! Geoffrey was a fantastic host—friendly, accommodating, and incredibly communicative. We arrived later than expected on a Friday evening, and he was patient and understanding throughout, making sure we had clear directions after getting a little lost navigating the valley roads in the dark.
The property itself is even more beautiful than the photos suggest. The Dome is a peaceful retreat, perfect for disconnecting and resetting before heading back to the city and work. The entire experience felt special, and I’m already looking forward to returning. I highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a unique and tranquil getaway!
