We are based in between the middle fork of the Yuba river right where it meets up with Oregon Creek. If you like a long walk it is 2.5 miles down the dirt road to Oregon Creek and the middle fork of the Yuba. Driving takes 5 to 10 mins. The other direction is the largest lake in our county Bullards Bar Reservoir and Emerald Cove Marina. We are 1 mile down Marysville Rd. from a launch called dark day. There is a trailhead at the top of overflow boat parking for a public swimming hole on the lake. On our property, we have a main house with its own private facilities such as a kitchen, shower, and bath. On the land, we have 9 total unique cabin and canvas tent structures converted into boutique-like campsites. We have an epic outdoor entertaining kitchen and patio with an outdoor pizza oven and a little dog rinse behind the outdoor shower. The bathhouse is right across the way and provides a private but shared guest shower house, tub and sink. The sauna and fenced-in dog area are near the shipping container site. The sauna has just been remodelled with a shower and bathtub right outside the sauna house. Like anywhere in the woods there is an hour at sunset when you may have mosquitoes down near the sites in the spring and some of the summers depending on the year. We have a natural spray for that or fans in the kitchen. Off the path, you may find poison oak in the thick of the woods. So please stay on the marked trails.

Camp Watanda at Lake Vera

FYI: WE ARE EXPERIENCING LOW LAKE LEVELS THIS JULY (2024) AND IS UNLIKELY TO IMPROVE IN AUIGUST. AT THIS TIME, WE CANNOT OFFER BOATING OR SWIMMING. Camp Watanda is a retired resident camp that we have converted to a vacation rental. We have 10 acres of wooded property, with the 4 camping kiosks close to the waterfront and 1 RV site on the waterfront. The camping kiosk all have 8-10 mattresses, grilling table, picnic table, cooler, smoke alarms, rake, broom and fire extinguishers. We are pet friendly with 1 dog per kiosk. Tents can be pitched on the elevated decks. Our waterfront has a large fire ring, 2-covered pergolas, canoes, kayaks, life jackets and charcoal grill. Lots of fish in the lake, since this is a private lake, no license is required. There is also a bathhouse (very primitive and in serious need of remodel) close by with 3 showers, 3 toilets and 3 sinks. Up by the lodge is a cell phone charging station and Wi-Fi, while we do have Wi-Fi, is not guaranteed, we are in the mountains with inconsistent connection. Lodge is not available to campers as this is rented separately. NOTE: Lake levels begin to drop in August and can be quite low in drought years. RV CAMPING: Because of the steep driveway and blind curve, we limit the vehicle length to 25 overall length. Our driveway is more suitable for RV's and Camper Vans and not Travel Trailers being towed. If you rent a kiosk, all campers must be on the same kiosk unless you rent a second kiosk. If you have a camping van and plan on using the van and the kiosk, then that is a second site. You cannot tailgate on a reservation just because the party only has 2 people on the kiosk, and you have 2 in the Van to make 4 people. These are tents sites on a Kiosk, there is parking for cars or trucks at the kiosk, not suitable for RV or Travel Trailers. Those vehicles will have to park at the waterfront parking lot. There are no refunds for cancellations within 72 hours of arrival. Camp Watanda is private property, campers assume all liability for being on site. There is no lifeguard present. This is a natural habitat for woodland animals, there is an associated risk for camping in their home. Slips, trips and falls can occur on trails, camping structures and waterfront.

Nearby Bullards Bar Reservoir is a popular lake for boating, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, water skiing and more. In the winter, we are close to a number of ski resorts and winter sports activities. Our completely fenced Group Camping Area on top of a knoll with breathtaking views offers eight plus camping sites and accommodates up to 32 campers. An 18 foot long banquet table and benches is ideal for group meals. The oversized fire pit can seat your entire group. Dogs are permitted (with strict rules) within the fenced camping area. Included in the rental of the campground is the use of the community Kitchen and Bathhouse. The kitchen is equipped with two refrigerators, a stovetop and oven, BBQ, pots/pans and dishes (plates, bowls, cups, silverware) that serve 30. The triple sink makes clean-up easy. The bathhouse has two private showers, two private toilets and a double sink. Bring your own towels and toiletries. Outside the Group Camping Area are multiple RV sites from partial to full hookup. A furnished yurt and tent platform with two dome tents are also available to rent. Within walking distance, we offer several 1 bedroom/1 bathroom cabins with propane heat and AC. THESE CAN BE ADDED AS EXTRAS AT THE TIME OF BOOKING! A short walk to our newly renovated lodge fills the needs of those that want a little more pampering. The lodge accommodates up to 20 people with a commercial-style kitchen that can feed up to 50 people comfortably. Private Queen suites are available. The upstairs is a favorite of our kids with plenty of beds for an awesome sleep over. When you rent the lodge, to compliment your experience, we have a 1000 sq. ft. yoga studio (used for movement, meditation, and classes), a 1700 sq. ft. open-air pavilion (receptions, presentations, musical presentations) and a celebration terrace for weddings and life events worth celebrating. Our exterior wet bar is equipped to serve your favorite beverage on a warm summer day or under the stars in the cool of the night next to the open-air bon fire. Quail Ridge RV Park & Campground

Quail Ridge RV Park has almost 17 acres nestled in the Plumas National Forest. We do NOT have direct water access. We are surrounded by six lakes, with Sly Creek and Lost Lake Reservoirs being the closest (about 3 mi. north of us), two major rivers and Feather Falls, the 3rd largest waterfall in California (trail is currently closed until Spring of '24). Outdoor activities abound with fishing, swimming, boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking trails and mountain biking trails. You can also explore the local rivers and try your luck at gold panning. Our park is primarily divided into three areas: (1) RV sites for weekend RV's that have full hook-ups, which include 30/50 amp. electric, water and septic connection (no pull through sites); (2) an area in the middle of the park where permanent residents live; and (3) an area for volleyball, badmitten and playground on the opposite side of the park. Sorry, but due to the always present fire danger, no wood burning fires are allowed. You may use your own propane fire ring or propane or charcoal grill. We have clean laundry and showers and flush toilets on the north side of the park. There is one shower and one flush toilet for each men and women that are handicapped accessible. Showers cost $1 for 12 minutes of hot water. Cell phone service is spotty. AT&T/Cricket and sometimes Verizon work the best. We now have free Wi-Fi in the park! Quail Ridge RV Park is very pet friendly. However, we cannot accept aggressive breed dogs, or Pit-Bull mixed dogs (sorry, but our insurance company restricts these breeds). We are based in between the middle fork of the Yuba river right where it meets up with Oregon Creek. If you like a long walk it is 2.5 miles down the dirt road to Oregon Creek and the middle fork of the Yuba. Driving takes 5 to 10 mins. The other direction is the largest lake in our county Bullards Bar Reservoir and Emerald Cove Marina. We are 1 mile down Marysville Rd. from a launch called dark day. There is a trailhead at the top of overflow boat parking for a public swimming hole on the lake. On our property, we have a main house with its own private facilities such as a kitchen, shower, and bath. On the land, we have 9 total unique cabin and canvas tent structures converted into boutique-like campsites. We have an epic outdoor entertaining kitchen and patio with an outdoor pizza oven and a little dog rinse behind the outdoor shower. The bathhouse is right across the way and provides a private but shared guest shower house, tub and sink. The sauna and fenced-in dog area are near the shipping container site. The sauna has just been remodelled with a shower and bathtub right outside the sauna house. Like anywhere in the woods there is an hour at sunset when you may have mosquitoes down near the sites in the spring and some of the summers depending on the year. We have a natural spray for that or fans in the kitchen. Off the path, you may find poison oak in the thick of the woods. So please stay on the marked trails.

Nearby Bullards Bar Reservoir is a popular lake for boating, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, water skiing and more. In the winter, we are close to a number of ski resorts and winter sports activities. Our completely fenced Group Camping Area on top of a knoll with breathtaking views offers eight plus camping sites and accommodates up to 32 campers. An 18 foot long banquet table and benches is ideal for group meals. The oversized fire pit can seat your entire group. Dogs are permitted (with strict rules) within the fenced camping area. Included in the rental of the campground is the use of the community Kitchen and Bathhouse. The kitchen is equipped with two refrigerators, a stovetop and oven, BBQ, pots/pans and dishes (plates, bowls, cups, silverware) that serve 30. The triple sink makes clean-up easy. The bathhouse has two private showers, two private toilets and a double sink. Bring your own towels and toiletries. Outside the Group Camping Area are multiple RV sites from partial to full hookup. A furnished yurt and tent platform with two dome tents are also available to rent. Within walking distance, we offer several 1 bedroom/1 bathroom cabins with propane heat and AC. THESE CAN BE ADDED AS EXTRAS AT THE TIME OF BOOKING! A short walk to our newly renovated lodge fills the needs of those that want a little more pampering. The lodge accommodates up to 20 people with a commercial-style kitchen that can feed up to 50 people comfortably. Private Queen suites are available. The upstairs is a favorite of our kids with plenty of beds for an awesome sleep over. When you rent the lodge, to compliment your experience, we have a 1000 sq. ft. yoga studio (used for movement, meditation, and classes), a 1700 sq. ft. open-air pavilion (receptions, presentations, musical presentations) and a celebration terrace for weddings and life events worth celebrating. Our exterior wet bar is equipped to serve your favorite beverage on a warm summer day or under the stars in the cool of the night next to the open-air bon fire.
