We've had a great time there with my three sons. The RV offered comfortable stay for 4 people. The place is very cozy and has everything you'd need for a relaxing staycation out of town: bathrooms with running water, kitchen, fridge, master bed and two bunk beds. Everything is clean and in good order. Jason, the host, was very accommodating and helped us set up a wood fire pit, where we enjoyed our little BBQ and marshmallows under the star-lit sky. We were pleasantly surpsised by the welcome basket full of goodies left by the host for our enjoyment. Dont forget to take off the shoes before going inside to keep the place clean and grab your trash bags on the way out.

I loved staying at Camp Chester! The camper and bathroom are well equipped with just about everything you might need! I loved the little outdoor kitchen. The view from the bathroom is a bonus :) There was plenty of room for my dog to roam around and enjoy all the sniffs! It was so quiet and peaceful. I loved hearing the coyotes at night, the breeze through the trees and the birdsongs. We got to take in a peaceful sunset at Zen Point and enjoy the nature trails around the property. It truly felt private and secluded. This was our second stay at Birdsong, and I’m sure we’ll be back again sometime!

Laurie’s land was amazing. The outdoor kitchen with running water and the outdoor bathroom was a true highlight! Clawfoot tub and star gazing is the way to go. Fenced in yard was perfect for our Great Dane. highly recommended!

After being 50% excited and 100% lost I called our host Jackie. When she came to get me I knew I made the right choice. She was warm, welcoming and the cookies were fire. As I walked into Pinky’s Bunkhouse I knew I would get the much needed reset that I desired. My first night I watched the sunset from the hot tub. The next morning I set off on the several hiking trails, enjoyed the natural rock formations and was inspired by hidden treasures along the way: a wooden swing, a tree phone and those sunsets! The sites were all private and the bathhouse was really cute. Extremely pet friendly with no additional fees. My two Great Danes and senior boxer found their zen and I got my reset 😃

Weekend Trip to Manzanita Ridge

Absolutely loved the stay at Manzanita Ridge, came up with a couple of friends to rest and relax and we had plenty. Although we visited at the peak of summer heat it was still very relaxing. The trailer had wonderful air conditioning and everything we needed was available. John was very sweet and provided careful instructions and we really enjoyed the quiet star gazing on the deck with a nice fire as well. Dont have any complaints whatsoever. If I needed to state some improvements it would only be about the wooden bench to be fixed so that one can enjoy a nice cup of coffee and also a little more comfortable outdoor seating. But otherwise perfectly quiet and relaxing. We will definately be coming back.

It was great. Owner is very responsive. The trailer has everything you need. AC, oven, stove, microwave. A TV with Netflix, prime, and whatever other app you can think off. You only need food and a change of clothes when you go there. I already gave the link to two other people. The only thing we could hear in the morning was the roosters from the houses around. I would definitely go again.

I stayed at Bluebird Tiny House during a hot weekend in July. Everything about my experience was enjoyable. I would consider Bluebird Tiny House glamorous glamping. The converted horse trailer had so many well thought out details & touches inside and out. It has a full kitchen, everything needed to cook and grill. It has a working toilet, tub, shower and well water, which was very tasty. It was a hot weekend, but the AC was running when we arrived in mid afternoon. We never needed the heater, and we left the windows open all night. I was amazed at how quiet it was. This location is so quiet and secluded, you’d never know anyone was around. The nearby hikes had amazing views. Bluebird Tiny House has a gas fire pit and an impressive hot tub, perfect for star gazing. The whole experience was so relaxing, and well worth paying a little extra for comfort. We hope to go back in the next year!

Weekend Trip to Birdsong Backcountry Retreat

This place is extremely cute, and the hosts were helpful and communicative. Coming from Hollywood, I was SHOCKED at how QUIET it was here. And how dark it was at night!! It was crazy! You really feel like you're "off the grid," which is nice. The surrounding area is mountainous and desert-y and really pretty. The cabin was well stocked, air conditioned, and homey. It was a little too hot to be outside (with an elderly dog) during the day, but we enjoyed some amazing hikes during the evening hours - I'd particularly recommend hiking to the Zen Point around sunset. The bathhouse was a super quick walk from the cabin so that was no biggie, and it actually had a nice shower! It was overall nicer than I was expecting. However, if you're on the shorter side in terms of height, be mindful of how your anatomy...um...interacts with the nuances of the toilet. You'll see what I mean :) We didn't go full-on with the nature therapy trails, but if meditation and mindfulness are your jam, then you'll probably enjoy them. Overall, the vibes here were excellent. Bring sunscreen!!

Weekend Trip to Manzanita Ridge

Manzanita Ridge is a nice place to stay. The rv had great creature comforts like a bathroom. It is a 30-45 minute drive from Julian and Lake Cuyamaca. The host was very good at .aking the stay comfortable. My wife and son had a great time and we made some nice memories. First, Id like to share some things that might be helpful for your stay. The rv does come with an FAQ and I think it answers most questions. Doing things again, I would make sure to understand how much water is available and when to request the system be emptied for multiple night stays. As someone who is not familiar, id ask what tank color is what. If you are staying more than a night, I'd recommend asking the host how to know when to ask for the bathroom tank to be emptied, as one of the days we returned, the toilet was clogged. The host was on top of things and I never had an issue where they didn't right it quickly. Another tip, is if the stove isn't lighting after following the steps in the folder FAQ in the rv, the propane tank outside is probably closed. The one challenge my wife wasn't thrilled with was the pictures online don't really display how close you are to neighbors. The location is close to neighbors and you can even see into a neighbor's house if you move far away enough from the rv. The whole family loved the stargazing at night. What a magical place!! The host was always available whenever we needed anything or had a question. It’s the perfect spot to disconnect and truly enjoy some time away. The cabin is super cozy and well equipped with everything we needed. My girlfriend and I loved exploring the nearby trails. The fenced yard was a huge plus, our dogs were safe and could roam freely! 1 night at Clara Vista High Desert Retreat

Incredible one-night stay there. If anything, the views from the cabin are underrated. Overlooks so much gorgeousness AND got to wake up basically inside a cloud. While it was near freezing outside, stayed plenty toasty inside. Oh, and did do the 20- to 25- minute drive to Borrego Springs for dinner and had several nice options there. Otherwise, prepared simple meals using the the propane stove and kettle. Highly recommend for a single/couple looking for a simple get-away.
