The Nest is located at the end of the road very close to Eagle Rock and Santa Ynez waterfalls right off Musch Trail, bordering the state park.we have a toilet and 2 large picnic tables also have some water but not for drinking...  amazing views, many hiking trails and lots of bunnies and other animals...

Urban Glamping at La Boheme!

This historical 1904 Craftsman home, known as The Liddell "La Boheme" Home, is nestled on 1/2 an acre of land smack in the middle of Los Angeles' hippest, historical gem: Highland Park.
When on the property, surrounded by fruit trees and rolling hills -- you can't believe you are in a city, let alone Los Angeles! I was introduced to the delights of Glamping at El Capitan in Santa Barbara which was amazing and I wanted to stay there forever!! -- BUT with a busy city life of raising kids and building my own small food business -- I wanted to jump from Glamp-life to City-life (and back again) with more ease and share it with others.
In my opinion, the beauty of So-Cal living is that you can literally spend the morning surfing in Malibu and that same evening find yourself skiing in Big Bear! (After 25 years of living here -- that reality still amazes me)
To mirror this unique juxtaposition - at La Boheme, you will find a tranquil Safari Tent Glamping experience - with hiking/biking trails and all sorts of outdoor activities anywhere from a 5 minute walk to 30 minutes away by car---- but you can also hop on the Gold Line train (which is a 1 minute walk out the back door) and in choosing one direction, you are a couple of stops from Chinatown or Downtown LA's rich cultural experiences & exciting nightlife. 
If you decide to explore in the other direction, Metro's Gold Line (in 1 stop) will take you to the heart of Highland Park's bustling scene - offering a smorgasbord of eateries, coffee-shops, speakeasies, boutiques, yoga studios and art galleries - including LA's oldest bowling alley: Highland Park Bowl.
Take the train further and you're in the heart of glorious Pasadena (home to The Rose Bowl and exceptional Norton Simon Museum)-- or continue out to beautiful Sierra Madre -- where there is
hiking and exploring galore! At La Boheme you can grill onsite, order take-out, dine out, stay-in and book a personal masseuse (that will change your world!) You can find places to
hike, bike, play tennis, come back and shower (with hot water) - enjoy some bubbly with your honey on the deck -- take the train downtown to catch a concert at the Staples center -- Uber back - light the chiminea -- roast a s'more or two and crawl into your super comfy REAL bed in your REAL Safari Tent!
Remember -- this is URBAN Glamping -- a friendly reminder that there can be normal city noises throughout your stay -- like a Fire Engine answering a call - or the train running behind the property -- or a kid crying in the apartment next door. It happens. Life happens. Of the several people who have already enjoyed the Glamping experience of La Boheme -- normal city noise/life
hasn't dampened the experience at all-- only made it more intriguing! There is both a fan for air circulation and/or "white noise" as well as a heater, if you should need either of them. Plenty of extra blankets are available as well as a cot if you are a booking for 3 guests. La Boheme also is a venue for weddings and other events -- so we love hosting and want to do whatever we can to make your stay the best it can be for you! Back deck with privacy screen and succulents. Guests enjoy playing cards, laughing and listening to music. As the sun sets-- twinkle light come on, candles get lit and it's time for cocktail hour!

'The Little House'

Our home is located in historic 'Trabuco Canyon' in Orange County, CA.  Our cabin 'number 63' was built in 1928 and all the cabins here in the cabin were sold as hunting cabins or used for vacationing.   Live Oak Canyon Road, and Silverado Canyon Road are some of the nicest driving areas in Southern California.  Learn more about this land:Welcome to Cabin 63... or, we like to call her, ‘The Little Red House’. Our little prefab studio is located in a quiet, safe, tucked away rural neighborhood... at the foot of beautiful Saddleback Mountain. Chickens and cats free range among the oak trees and you will often hear the sounds of horses meandering down the road.Our canyon has a real country feel to it and yet you are only minutes away from the city.  We are situated in a hub of hiking and biking trails and,  if desired, we are only 30 minutes from the beach.  In the evening you can often hear the bleating of sheep on the nearby hills and coyotes yipping in the night.

Start your morning having coffee on the tree swing... or end your evening here with a special someone.

Trabuco Canyon HideAway

Located in Orange County,  Trabuco Canyon is nestled in the foothills of Saddleback Mountain.  Driving through the canyon is like taking a step back in time.  Many of the original cabins, that were built in 1928, remain today. You'll hear sheep that graze on nearby hills, share the rode with horseback riders and see the stars because there are no street lights.Warning - there is a rooster who lives two properties over and he does crow starting early in the morning.  We can sleep through anything so it doesn't bother but if you're a light sleeper, or not a morning person, this might not work for you.There's magic here.**We set our trailer up so that people that want to try out camping, for just a get away or to try out the 18' size, don't have to go through the whole towing and set up process.  Also, it's perfect for young people who may be attending a local wedding.And just for clarity, the trailer does not get hooked up to anyones's vehicle and does not leave the property.  It's strictly for onsite use.Learn more about this land:We have a magical spot set up on the upper level of our property where you can get back to 'simple'. You'll feel like you're camping but you don't have to hassle with the setup. Just bring a walking stick, bike, a good book....or great for a remote work space, and you're set for a simple get away.The table area has wrap around windows that look out over mature oak trees...and make you feel like you're in a tree house. The beach is 20 miles away.

For a bit more space, unwind in our cozy 2-bedroom, 2-bath loft with stunning eastern corridor views. 

From our spot, you can walk to charming cafes, vintage stores, restaurants and the iconic Oceanside pier, all within a mile!  

For foodies, you'll enjoy our local breweries and restaurants to satisfy every appetite. Every Thursday morning brings the charming downtown Farmers Market if you'd like to cook a special meal from local ingredients; while evenings come alive with the bustling Sunset Market's with local artists, music, and a variety of delectable food vendors. 

You can explore beyond Oceanside, too! Our location between San Diego and Los Angeles makes day trips a breeze with the train station just a half-mile away. Or for those who prefer to explore by bike, rent our beach cruisers at a flat rate, and enjoy the many bike trails our coast offers.

Minimize your footprint, while maximizing your visit to Oceanside! Our entire property is solar-powered, reducing our reliance on fossil fuels.

We utilize a water-less composting toilet, and encourage responsible waste disposal through large recycling bins for food scraps, glass, and aluminum cans.

This unique space is perfect for a romantic getaway for two or a solo adventure.

Consider Site Cielo for a bit more space. Unwind in our cozy, vintage 2-bedroom, 2-bath loft with hillside garden views. This is more space with queen size and full size beds, full bathrooms, a full kitchen and a t.v. in the living room. Hangout on the upper landing with a cup of coffee with the garden view. 

The Ranch

Get into nature at our private and gorgeous campsite with an outdoor wooden bar and fire pit on over 25 acres to yourself. Camp and park your RV under the stars, enjoy hiking and relax in the oak grove. The wooden bar is a fun touch and we have a fire pit to keep you warm at night. We have over 100 acres. 

Our property is close to O’Neill park but far enough away to where your family will not have to camp next to anyone. We have market lights throughout the property. No power or sewage hookups.
