Time Traveler Retreat Julian Cabin



Built in the 50’s it is sitting on 2 parcels and is over ½ acre in size.  We also have 2 other cabins for rent in Julian for larger groups.
 The outhouse that you see was used when it was first built and now is for storage.
 The original owner built the house himself and it was originally on piers alone with no other foundation!
 There is a folder in the bedroom closet of the house over the years.
 The decorations were here when we bought it so we kept them to preserve the house’s uniqueness.
 We treasure this house which is nestled amongst the trees and has so many beautiful birds that visit.
 Many turkeys love to stop by too!
 If you hear the deep cooing from the monster doves (who are very shy) you can try to spot one.  They are amazing.

Manzanita Village Retreat

are co-founders of Ordinary Dharma and Five Changes, and stewards of this land at Manzanita Village Retreat.
Thirty years ago we were searching for a place where the land itself would be an active support in our of work facilitating workshops and retreats. We were looking for land that was within easy reach of San Diego and Los Angeles, while still being remote and far from the noise of highways. The land is infused with the presence of the thousands of people who have come here for transformation and renewal.

Ranch Devlin, Selling Sunsets

Ranch Devlin is a private, gated lot minutes off the Great Southern Overland Stagecoach Route, 2 miles south of Scissors Crossing (S2 & 78). Perfect setting for a stop over on your way to San Diego, Orange County, LA or a spontaneous getaway from the city. Julian is 12 miles west, with several nice eateries, shopping, people watching and apple pie. Pacific Crest Trail and mountain bike access to the Anza Borrego State park is minutes away. Desert history in every direction. Amazing sunsets, active wildlife.

The guest cabin sits secluded on the southern ridge of Montezuma Valley, with spectacular views of Earthquake Valley and the distant mountains of Baja California and a short hike to Anza Borrego State Park. A gas fireplace in the cabin will keep you warm on those chilly winter evenings. Ideal for 1-2 people looking for solitude, stargazing and high-desert nature. 
Cozy guest cabin with propane fireplace on 30 acre artist's retreat at 4000 feet elevation.  One mi. hike to NW boundary of Anza Borrego SP. Four mi. to PCT. Hiking trails to large plutonic rocks, breathtaking view south into Mexico. Private portable toilet, outdoor cold water sink, outdoor grill, small camping stove, teapot, full size bed,  Norm Hines sculptures on property for guest viewing. Great for bird watching, stargazing, desert solitude. 13 miles to Borrego Springs. 28 miles to Julian.
