The Little Red Barn

The Little Red Barn is a unique venue that used to be a working haybarn on farm property. It boasts a vaulted ceiling and a half loft area with an interior of only 680 sq ft. Nestled in the Ozark Mountains of northern Arkansas in a 20-acre hayfield, the rural surroundings of ponds, trees, and wildlife add to its simple and natural beauty. With state highway access, this location is perfect for a wide variety of activities such as photography shoots, film scenes, and weddings. The history of the barn and property creates an interesting storyline and backdrop for a wide variety of needs.
Located 4 miles from Calico Rock White River access. 3 miles from Calico Creek at Rand Park. 4 miles to Pepper Sauce Alley ghost town. 
8 miles from Norfork White River access and Norfork Brewery. 

Campsites and RV sites are also available on the property in outlying areas.

Our family purchased a retreat center up in the foothills of the Ozarks. Complete with 3000 acres of national forest, last property up the mountain, and million dollar views.  While we have multiple RV spots, we are only opening the property to tent campers for now.  We still have all our animals from our property in tennesee and they now share our 20 acres on the mountain. If you love historical downtowns, check out Batesville (votes number 1 downtown in Arkansas) or go to the motor speedway, or enjoy the ozarks too!

CinC's RV Hideaway

I moved to my dream home and property March 1, 2020. 
 I refer to it as a hideaway because not only am I at the end of town, this is a dead end street so it stays quiet of traffic. Being downhill, next to the creek, I feel, is safer from tornados, as well, the echo goes uphill instead of downhill toward this property. I am learning town history from a friend that runs the historical society, here in town. 
As I learn things, I hope to share the information with anyone that may be interested.

Peace, quiet, alone time or get away from the hustle. Located in the Ozark's.  No freeways for miles.  Lots to do around and at edge of small town community. 

I will be setting up the horseshoe pits soon and have board games as well as cards.  I enjoy and look forward to sharing the beautiful land I live on.

The front of my property is very flat and grassy, from the creek fence to the front side of my house. Mature trees that line my property provide nice shade in the spring and summer, however, the property is open air.  The stars are spectacular. There is no light pollution. (once it is dark, you can't see your hand in front of your face)

This is a small town of about 2000 people or so. There are quite a few shops as well as a grocery store, hardware store, a couple auto stores as well as a couple dealerships. There is a drive through coffee shop as well as a couple drug stores available in town. There are 3 to 5 different repair shops around. There is a beautiful golf course, 5-8 minutes away, just around the corner. .  

I live in a peaceful and extremely tranquil spot here. A good hideaway, if thats what you’re looking for.  Hide away and recoup before your next big adventure.  There are a few kids around that love to ride their ATVs, bikes, walk, skateboard and skate up and down Conniebrook Lane. We have bike rally's coming through town often, in the summer.

Mt. View, AR, the bluegrass music capitol of the world is about 45 minutes away. Beautiful drive, to get there. Scenic overlooks on the way.

Wheelchair Accessibility: I am sure any electric wheelchair would have no problem going over the grass area anywhere they wanted to go in the camping area. I hope if there are any issues, it would be brought to my attention and I would make it accommodating, immediately.. I am extremely handy and mechanical.

Calico Camp

Calico Camp is a lovely, shady spot on private property about 2 miles from Calico Rock Main Street and the White River. Rich in history and great fishing. Bring your boat and kayak. Or, you can rent one in town. There are fishing guides available, too.

I moved here in 2016 from Atlanta, Georgia. I actually lived in an RV in a beautiful park for several years there. And, loved it! I thought I was going to do that here, but changed my mind when I found this sweet little house on a couple of acres. Deer visit us, and bunnies make their homes here. I have cats and dogs of my own.

Nice, private, shady. Easy to get to from Hwy. 56. About 2 miles from the White River and Main Street Calico Rock. 

Turn from Hwy. 56 can be tricky for big rigs because of a ditch at Jones Street. Left hand turn is easier than right hand turn. 

You can use the parking lot across the street to help you back your rig into the campsite. We have permission from the owner to do that.

There is room for your boat, too. Pets are welcome. Close to grocery, bank, gas.

The White River is famous for its trout fishing. Deer hunting in the area, too. (Not on this property.)

The hookups are on the left side (right side if you back in). You may need extensions for your power and sewer. I have them available, if you don’t have your own.

This wooded hillside is home to four stone cabins that were built in the 1940s for Camp Miramichee. Three of these are available here on Hipcamp.

Camp Miramichee Falls

Camp Miramichee Falls is located at the site of the original YWCA Camp Miramichee which was founded in 1916 as a retreat for girls. In 2019, my husband and I acquired and renovated some of the original Miramichee stone cabins. We are located on the Southfork River, in Hardy, Arkansas. We have 2 cabins on the river and 3 cabins on a wooded hillside for rent here at Camp Miramichee Falls. There are a few other privately owned cabins in the neighborhood and we live on the property.
