3:10 to Dragoon

Dragoon is rich in history and natural beauty. The name comes from the 3rd U.S. Calvary Dragoons who battled the Chiricahua Apaches here led by Chief Cochise during the Apache Wars. Nearby, you can visit the confederate graves and ruins of the Dragoon Springs Stage Station. About 20 minutes away is Cochise Stronghold, home and burial place of Chief Cochise and Chiricahua Nat'l Monument is about an hour away (great hiking and climbing!). Unique to this area are the amazing rock formations of pillars, balances, and stacked rocks caused by cooled volcanic granite 50 million years ago.  In addition, our area is home to hundreds of different bird species, the occasional Gila monster, coyotes, deer, and javalina.

When my husband and I were dating in NY we confessed our mutual desire to get back "home" to the west. It made me fall in love with him even faster. So when we married we moved to Washington DC knowing that in time we would make it west. 5 years later, when the traffic and the politics has taken its toll, we made a trip to Tucson and fell in love with this charming property that exudes all the beauty and grace of the Sonoran Desert. We looked at each other as we walked around looking at the stunning Mtn. Views and the mesquite fence and knew we were finally "home."
I've always adored the SW Hummingbirds and wanted to name the property La Hacienda Chuparosa.  When we moved in, for the first week, every morning a hummingbird was sipping nectar from one of our plants in the front yard. We knew it was meant to be. 
So we added a couple of horses to our dream, built some stalls, and now are ready to welcome you to La Hacienda Chuparosa. We know you will find the same magic here that we do.

 45ft maximum total length for RV, trailer and tow vehicle.  12 ft max height. 9 ft max width.

Located along a very popular biking route with easy access to all the amenities you'll need.  There is a 220V 50 amp plug and a 110v 20 amp plug with fresh water available on site.

Minutes away from Saguaro National Park East and several hiking and biking trails.  Abundant desert wildlife with hummingbirds, songbirds and even some resident Gila monsters. Plenty of space to enter and turn around on the property.

The property is open and not fenced. There is abundant wildlife in the area so it's best to keep your furry friends on a leash if possible. Well behaved or trained pets may be ok off leash.

Mt. Lemmon Pit Stop

We are located in a quiet neighborhood near Catalina Highway (road that takes you up Mt. Lemmon).  We offer an RV parking area that includes 30 amp electric, water, and wifi.  Nearby activities include: Mt Lemmon recreational area (29 miles), Sabino Canyon (8.5 miles), Saguaro National Park (7 miles), Pima air and space Museum (13 miles),  Biosphere 2 (42 miles), Sonoita Vineyards (59 miles), and Kartchner Caverns (52 miles) to name a few.

This location has security gates, High Speed Wifi, 50 amp power, water, sewer, laundry all included at no additional cost. Pets are welcome as well.
