Camp spot was easily driveable by any vehicle, spacious, gave you the out in nature feeling without the trouble of driving into the unknown and hoping to find a spot. It was very peaceful and quiet. They also offer use of a washer and dryer, which is a really nice option for travelers.
My sense of direction isn’t great so when I needed help to find my way the hosts were very kind and helpful to guide me. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to get away from the city and explore the peaceful area of Golden Valley.

I had a wonderful HipCamp stay at Goffs Schoolhouse, right along historic Route 66 at the Mojave Desert Heritage & Cultural Site. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived.
The setting is truly special; wide open skies, a stunning desert sunset, and a peaceful sense of history all around you. Exploring the grounds was a highlight, with fascinating museum objects and artifacts that really bring the area’s past to life.
The bathrooms were clean and well maintained, and the signage is helpful. You can hear the trains passing by at night, but honestly, it didn’t detract from the experience at all. I enjoyed one of the best sleeps ever, and with a pair of earplugs, it’s no problem whatsoever. Overall, this was a unique, comfortable, and memorable stay, and I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind desert camping experience on Route 66. :)

Absolutely adored this quick overnight stay. The place was so secure, with a keypad gate to enter and exit. The cabin was small but had everything I needed and was warm upon arrival. Super dog friendly and safe for a single woman traveler and her pup. If I’m ever in the area again I would love to stay here!

Kirk and Deana have a beautiful property that is everything you could dream of! Wish we could have stayed longer, and we even added an extra night (which they were very accommodating about). We arrived late the first night in bad weather, and Kirk stayed in contact with us to make sure we made it safe and even took the trouble to meet us in his vehicle in the dark so we had a guide. The road during the day/in clear weather is rutty as described in their listing, but very doable (we are used to going off pavement). We just happened to come during a down pour. As promised, once you get up the drive the spot to park is leveled out with easy gravel. There is a very nice trail system that is beautiful for a nice morning walk right outside your camper/tent door, about 1/4 mile long and you could choose to explore further. We took their itinerary suggestion of Oatman to see the wild donkeys and it was the highlight of our trip that we would have missed otherwise if not for the suggestion, highly recommend following their itinerary. Would absolutely book again, Kirk and Deana were very warm and kind, and made sure to be available to your needs while also giving you space to enjoy your site and nature.

The field was the perfect backyard oasis we needed. Use of the hot tub was amazing, beautiful landscape with dog areas to use. We stayed in cabin 1 so we could park our van next to the cabin. In walking distance to shopping and restaurants.

My son and his friends had an amazing time exploring the property and stargazing. He couldn’t stop raving about how much fun he had and how beautiful the night sky was. He is a budding astral photographer and this was his first opportunity to really get up close and personal with the night sky. He found Laura and her crew to be super helpful and friendly and he can’t wait to go back. Thank you for making his experience so amazing!

1 night at Vegas Glamping
This place is so great! The location is a little adventure and the area is quiet and so chill. My friend and I enjoyed our stay and slept with our tent open. Coming from the Joshua Tree desert, we get a lot of critters... not here. Besides a super friendly chipmunk, don't think it was Chippy but he was a fun little buddy to watch as he explored our space.

Perfectly situated in the middle of nowhere. Completely authentic and extremely interesting. Ground is flat and made of perfectly uniform decomposed granite, so fine you can walk barefoot. Priceless desert vista in all directions. We chose a spot next to the old train depot to car camp overnight. This Hipcamp was exactly half way between our trip from the coast to Sedona. We were greeted at dusk, set up camp, slept, and left around 9. There was only one other camper in the whole place which we had basically to ourselves and our two annoying dogs. The bathroom was clean and well decorated- complete with a nice shower. The bi-hourly freight trains that pass in the night may be an issue for some, but the noise was not as extreme as some have stated in other reviews. If you think about it, you are considering staying at a train museum so the fact that there are active tracks nearby shouldn’t be a shocker! The place is off Route 66 which loops off of 40 so the distance from the highway is a non issue as you can take a short side route on Route 66 without the 11 mile drive in being an issue. Will stay again and hopefully late enough in the morning to visit the museum.

Weekend Trip to Vegas Glamping
What can I say to express how wonderful Vegas Glamping is??? Our stay was the absolute best of the best!!! We came to Nevada from North Carolina and wanted to stay at our new home away from home instead of going onto Las Vegas!
The night sky was extraordinary with the most was beautiful view! Our tent was cozy, clean, and the bed so comfy…perfect! We loved grilling every meal on the fire pit…eggs, bacon, asparagus, steak, grilled cheese, and s’mores. We went “ATVing”, with Evalina’s husband as our guide, which was a blast. The scenery was amazing. It almost felt like we were in a picture book. Evalina made sure everything was perfect. She is a beautiful woman, inside and out!

It was Great to get a chance to Rest that night in your own quiet place for the evening and hearing the neighbors rooster early in the morning it was nice. It reminded me of a couple days I spent in Hawaii at a hip camp roosters going off early in the morning. Thank you.

I loved camping at Lori’s Field. It was perfect for our needs traveling with a 19’ Sprinter van and also rented #1 cabin, due to my husband getting a bad cold and wanting to allow him to be in his own environment for rest. The cabin had all the necessary facilities including shower, toilet and sink. Along with a microwave, kerig coffee pot and small fridge. Also grateful for the electric hookup for van. Easy directions and close enough to town for all your needs.

If I could give Abi a million stars for hosting an amazing property, I would! Very well kept, amazing views (desert land/plants, sunset, night sky, sunrise, all of it!), beautiful artwork and mini trails, basically more than anyone can ask for at a campsite. My husband, dogs and I enjoyed camping here so much we plan to visit again. It was nice that the whole area was to ourselves, it felt very private and safe. Would definitely recommend!

Kirk & Deana are some of the sweetest people I've met. They made my stay so comfortable. They were very helpful with tourist information. Their land is so peaceful, I slept like a rock. One of the most beautiful sunsets I've seen in my life as well!!!!!
