We are currently *under construction*. Our forest was damaged by the draught and so there are changes underway. Please excuse our appearance as we shift toward becoming a food forest. Solomon's Garden is a 5 acre homestead located in the Black Warrior River valley. Our site is currently under land work construction, as we are recovering from the pine beetle disaster that has ravaged Alabama. Our beautiful pine trees are no more and we are in the process of rebuilding the campground, planting a food forest and adding an additional shower/toilet facility. We currently have a semi-private camping area in our small orchard that is flat and grassy that we recommend for tent campers on any day. We also have a larger, more remote camp area available on dry days. We expect land work to be complete in June and are eagerly awaiting the grass, wildflowers and native herbs to return following all this spring rain.

Cherokee Campground stands out as a unique destination for travelers seeking a peaceful retreat, whether for a night, a short-term stay during relocation, or an extended visit. With its affordable rates, serene environment, and a welcoming "hometown" vibe, Cherokee Campground is dedicated to providing a comfortable experience for both short-term and long-term guests. Originally known as "Cherokee Beach" and previously called "Cherokee Kamper Village," this campground has a rich history, thanks to the late Sonny Littleton and his family, who established a thriving family-oriented business. For many years, families have cherished weekends filled with swimming, picnics, and various outdoor activities. While swimming is no longer permitted, the campground's 16-acre private lake remains a central attraction for campers. Guests can enjoy fishing from the bank without needing an Alabama fishing license, making it a convenient option for those looking to unwind by the water. In addition to its tranquil setting, Cherokee Campground is conveniently located near natural features, outdoor activities, restaurants, and shops, ensuring that visitors have access to everything they need for a memorable stay. Whether you're looking to relax or explore, Cherokee Campground offers a unique blend of comfort and adventure.
