Camping in the A frame was absolutely perfect. We arrived late and left early as it was just a stop on our travel but it was exactly what we needed. The grounds were clean and quiet. The bed and bedding was more comfortable than most hotels. We used the AC in the A-frame for a little while but it cooled so well we ended up turning it off. The showers were huge in comparison to other campgrounds and they were very clean with hot water. Wish we could've stayed longer than the one night. We'll definitely go back on our next trip!

This was such a hidden gem! The cabin was adorable, clean, and close to a very nice bathhouse. We were right next to two friendly ponies, and a short walk from a variety of animals, which the kids loved feeding. The campground was clean, quiet, and peaceful. Lisa was so kind, and even brought us a bottle of wine because we were there to celebrate a birthday. We will absolutely be back!

We stayed two nights in the large A-frame and had a wonderful time. The campsites are spacious, not crowded together like so many others. The bath house was clean, quaint, and so adorable. They even had motion sensor lights to light up the area as you walk up to it at night. Their animals are so precious and are fun to interact with. There is quite a lot of acreage and many trails, unfortunately we did not get to take advantage of them this trip (next time!). The hosts, Lisa and James, are incredible people that go above and beyond if needed. Their Farm and Campground is a continuous work in progress, but you can tell it is a labor of love. This is not a place for those who love KOA type campgrounds (no pool, no clubhouse or tennis courts, etc...), but I would highly recommend it for those who truly love to camp. And as we travel with our two little dogs everywhere we go, it was important for us to find someplace that was pet friendly. Our dogs had a great time meeting all the animals and seemed to enjoy their stay as much as we did. Lisa and James even provided some treats for them upon our arrival. Overall, a great experience!

This place is wonderful and I hope to be able to stay here again. My friend and our dog stayed in an A-Frame campsite. Throughout our stay I was so impressed with how our Piney Hills Campground site had all the simple necessities. Nothing more, nothing less, & in a pleasant style/decor. The land is beautiful, and it is filled with the world's cutest animals ! Emus, ponies, geese, ducks, chickens, goats, and three little piggies seemed as happy to see us as we were them. We got to listen to the sound of a distant (perfect volume) train whistle and rooster crowing during our stay too. A very comfortable time in nature was had. Thank you, Piney Hills Campground !

I loved the glamping experience here, lots of cure animals on the property like ponies,lamb,ducks an Emu and the sweetest farm dogs you'll ever meet. Hot water in the showers and every site came with a fire pit,grill and picnic table. Had a lovely weekend here and can't recommend the wine tour enough.

Weekend Trip to Piney Hills Campground
Piney Hills Campground was amazing place to stay. The a-frame was great, even had ac so when we went into the a-frame. The farm has amazing animals that are so sweet and love to be shown love! We even did the covered wagon ride to the winery which was an add on, a wonderful experience where we got to see great views and different sites in Mauk. If you are able you should definitely take the trip to the winery! Can’t wait for our next trip up there!

This was such a beautiful piece of land. So peaceful and well maintained. The farms animals were so cute and all the facilities were super clean and well maintained. I wish we got to stay for at least 5 nights here since it was so lovely. The grounds keeper was super helpful and very informative, he definitely made us feel welcome. The A-frame we stayed in was perfect and super comfortable.

Sweet camp spot which suited our needs perfectly after our visit to Pasaquan. Tiny A-frame was clean as were the showers. Quiet and peaceful. Morning coffee in the office was a welcome extra. A little challenging to find at night (it’s dark in the country!) but it made for incredible star-gazing.

We loved staying at Lisa and James’s A-Frame! Although we picked a cold weekend, the A-frame held great heat, had a comfortable bed and pillows, and power so we had a very comfortable stay.
The campground is very pretty and has lots of animals and hiking trails, and the campsite has a charcoal grill. The owners have clearly spent a great deal of time and care on their land and we will for sure be back.

This was my first time doing anything close to camping and it was an amazing experience, easy to find and it felt safe. You can hear the animals in the mornings when you wake up and look out the window next to the bed at all of the green & trees outside. The bathroom particularly was very clean & stocked. Weekend Trip to Piney Hills Campground
This place was amazing for what we needed,we had the A-Frame #2.We loved it. Got to have the fire on and see the stars. The owners and staff were very welcoming and always asking if we were doing ok and if we needed anything to ask . We didnt have enough fire wood. So they have the option of an add on . By the time we got back to camp the fire wood was stacked next to the pit. The farm animals were really cool to see and just the peace and quiet was all worth it. We will be making plenty more trips here in the future . Thanks for everything.
