Loved staying at the Lone Tree Yurt this past weekend! The Yurt itself is gorgeous and even better than the pictures--you absolutely have the best view of all the camps and it's spacious and well taken care of. Having access to Wifi ended up being such a perk and it was so nice to have access to both hot and cold water and a fridge. We ran out of water at one point during our stay and the hosts are very quick and responsive and helped us out right away! The only small "let down" was the sauna and cold plunge only because they hadn't been well maintained. The cold plunge had a lot of dirt and debris settled at the bottom and we had to spend about 15 minutes skimming out the bugs to try to use it. The sauna was amazing once we got it going but it hadn't been cleaned out in quite some time, there was a large collection of dead flies that we had to scoop out in order to make it usable. Otherwise, our overall stay was the perfect getaway! We're already talking about making this an annual trip and couldn't recommend it more for a sweet escape from the noise.

A truly unique experience!
Group trip
If you have a chance to stop by you ABSOLUTELY should. The yurt was MASSIVE with plenty of space to spread out and get comfortable. Plenty of amenities from coffee maker, camping, chairs, a mini pool table, etc. Christopher has clearly put a lot of time and thought into the yurts and every thing that comes with staying at a yurt. If you get the chance ask Christopher about his earth ship project he is also working on. He has volunteering opportunities and workshops as well. Christopher is very responsive and resourceful. The highlight of my stay was using the community space and just enjoying the calm and bright night light. WIFI is available which helped when I had to quickly attend to some work related stuff. The yurts are a great option for families, groups, couples, and everyone else honestly. The restroom situation was very helpful and very well maintained. Bring some hiking shoes as there is plenty of sight seeing out here.

Beautiful Land - Beautiful People
Group trip
Amazing concept and people. This was a beautiful piece of property with several stunning yurt stays - all with varied amenities. The community space has a cold plunge and charming little sauna. We got to hang out with owner Chris and his volunteers, and had a wonderful time learning about the Earthship that they are building and their passion for sustainable living. There is a lot to explore and to take in. Our experience was 10/10.

With kids
My family and I spent two nights in Lone Tree Yurt. The accommodations were comfortable and clean and the setting beautiful. We loved the remote feeling location yet convenience to the activities we had planned. Fully recommend especially if you enjoy connecting with your natural environment but want to bypass the stress and labor of tent camping!!
