The campground at Lake Colorado City is comprised of three neighboring groupings: Mesquite Circle, Rolling Hills, and Lakeview.

All three areas are right by the lakeshore, though one obviously has the best lake views and the most sites by the water —we’ll let you figure that one out (hint: it’s Lakeview). All sites fit eight people and have water and access to bathrooms, and you can pay extra for a site with electricity. If camping isn’t your style (or, more likely, your mother-in-law’s style), you can rent a lakefront cabin with A/C and heat, a grill, a microwave, and a refrigerator (no kitchen or bathroom, though).
