With some loops open year-round, Valley of the Rogue gives campers an all-seasons opportunity to retreat into a sanctuary of green surrounded by grisled peaks and rough river-fed canyons.

Camping in an area so rich with nature, culture and history is a perfect way to create a snug jump-off point for all the gallivanting exploration at your fingertips in this stretch of Southern Oregon. Valley of the Rogue campground offers 95 full hook-up sites, 49 electrical sites with water, 20 tent sites with nearby water, 6 yurts, fire rings, picnic tables, flush toilets, hot showers, laundry facilities, a meeting hall, and 3 group tent camping areas. With a mix of grassy meadow and tree circled grove, campsites vary in privacy, but all of them rest peacefully beneath a view of the Siskiyou ridge and the tempting shush of riverwater calling.

Just so you know: the photos accompanying this listing are nowhere near VOR Campground. The pics are of Mt. Shasta and Castle Crags, some two hours south.

Valley of the Rogue is a large campground, which offers a lot of space between each campsite. Don't expect isolation, but we didn't feel crowded either. The Rogue River is beautiful, but it is not a swimming river and there is no sandy beach area. For camping, the bathrooms and free hot showers here were VERY nice! Overall the vibe was family-friendly and quiet during our stay.
