Coastal Farm Sanctuary

Since 2015 we have been steadily regenerating the soils and improving this once completely barren property. We now have diverse plant life on the property which in turns attracts diverse wildlife including insects, birds and reptile. Your stay here helps us to pay the bills and keep making this small patch of earth better. Our property sits on a sunny bench just back from the ocean and just above the fog line. Our south facing location gets ample sunshine most days and is surrounded on 3 sides by a forest of trees. The property is fenced and access is by gate. There are two seperate campsites which are separated by our central garden and bamboo plantings. On most days the maximum number of workers on the farm is two people (your hosts). This is a low traffic area. There is virtually no street traffic before 9 AM and none after 4 PM Mon-Sat and there is no traffic at all on Sundays. Site 2 aka Freedom Camp is reserved exclusively for tent Both camp sites can use the contracted portable toilet located on the property. We keep it clean and odor free for a safe and sanitary camping experience. Hand sanitizer is also provided. Bring your bikes, boards and/or other outdoor gear! Many adventures can be had here on the central coast. Your hosts are avid surfers and cyclists and can help direct you to the best spots to match your skill level. Our property is close to town as well as road bike loops, gravel roads and mountain bike trails. We're also close to the beach and that's how we like it. Within 15 - 45 minutes drive surfers of all levels can find something fun to ride nearly everyday of summer and fall. The 18 hole golf course is just down the street from the property and the town of Waldport is only 2 miles away. Yachats is a short 12 minute drive to the south where you can find amazing plant based food and they serve fresh roasted coffee along with a large menu of other drinks and treats at The Green Salmon Cafe. Miles of white sand beaches are located just down the hill from us where you can walk all the way from the mouth of the Alsea river to the mouth of the Yachats river. Forested and easily accessible walking trails are also nearby. South of the property is Cape Perpetua which is a 2,700 acre nature wonderland with whales, tide pools and blowholes. It is located in the Siuslaw National Forest and includes a 26 mile trail system. Relax and enjoy the scenic 15 mile drive from the farm to get there. The Waldport city skatepark and the Red River disc golf course are just 1.2 miles from the property. There is a brand new skatepark in Yachats just 7 miles away. Restaurants, cafes, a bakery and bars as well as shopping, banking and even an open air market (on Wednesdays) can be found in downtown Waldport which is a short 2 miles from your campsite. We have some items such as bikes, surfboards, skateboards and more options available for rental (options will be shown when you book your site). Surf lessons for beginner and intermediate level are available. Guided surf sessions for intermediate and advanced level are available. Bring your Electric Vehicle! There are charging stations close by in Yachats and Newport. Our farm is licensed by the Oregon Department of Agriculture. (*sunshine not guaranteed)

Bamboo Forest Campsite

Welcome to the Bamboo Forest at Parker Learning Gardens! We are a nonprofit educational 33-acre farm located 10 miles north of Eugene, Oregon, right between the small towns of Coburg and Harrisburg. Our campsites are located at our 3+ acre Bamboo Forest, with covered platforms located alongside and underneath the canopy of our whimsical corridor of huge Linden Trees. The campsites have access to a wood-fired earthen cob oven, an outdoor kitchen sink, and a covered eating/cooking space. There are over 40 varieties of bamboo in our densely-packed 35-year-old Bamboo Forest. You are welcome to explore this unique forest by navigating through our meandering trail system. Elsewhere on the farm we have over 500 fruit trees, many farm animals, and 12 demonstration gardens. We offer seasonal educational programming from Spring-Fall, with various community classes, workshops and field trips for schools. The mission of Parker Learning Gardens involves immersing people of all ages in nature while demonstrating how to: grow food organically, tend to the land from an ecological perspective, incorporate animals in a regenerative way, and be conscious environmental stewards. If you are interested, there may be an option for a private educational tour for an additional fee (dependent on timing and availability). Otherwise, your stay will be private with open access to the trail system of our Bamboo Forest and huge Linden Tree Grove (approximately 5 acres of of beautiful wondering space to explore and unwind). We are about 5 miles from the I-5 exit in Coburg. The farm is located in the old floodplain of the Willamette River, with close access to places to swim just a short car drive away. There are amazing hikes within 30 minutes, and many family and youth activities/opportunities nearby (check the Eugene weekly event calendar).

Alsea Valley Farm

Our farm is nestled at the end of Honey Grove Valley in the lush coastal mountains. The creek meanders through our seven acre property. The north side contains a field, small orchard, greenhouses and barn. The south side is steep and wooded with healthy riparian. An extension to the Honey Grove trail leads out of the property accessing seven miles of hiking and mountain bike trails. Nearby activities include hiking and mountain biking in Mary's Peak and Alsea Falls recreational area. Fishing access to the Alsea River is located 1.5 miles from the property on Honey Grove Road. The guest cabin has two rooms and can sleep (4) guests comfortably and up to (6) guests. It contains (2) queen size beds, one pull out couch, and an optional futon mattress and a fold out single bed. One bed is in a loft accessed by a ship ladder. There is a small kitchen and attached bathhouse. The toilet is non-flush, composting. From the designated parking area there is a 200 foot walk along a gravel path to the cabin. Other features include a fire pit, electric sauna, and creek access. Internet is available in the cabin. There is a Level 2 vehicle charger available for guests. The property also contains a host residence. The area around the residence is for the hosts. The cabin and the property are very quaint and inviting but also very rustic. Do not be surprised to see a few spiders and other bugs, the occasional bunny, wild turkeys, Garter Snakes by the ponds and newts on the trails. Please maintain good situational awareness when enjoying the property as structures and grounds may have some inherent hazards. Barn is off limits. Greenhouse and gardens are fine to explore as long as doors and gates are closed and dogs are kept out. Please refrain from harvesting produce and/or eggs unless accompanied or given permission from hosts directly.

Squared Roots Farm Yurt

Welcome to Squared Roots Farm, a Garlic Farm and homestead in Alsea, Oregon. We specialize in gourmet hardneck garlic and sustainable farming practices. (IG @squaredrootsfarm) On our farm we grow veggies and flowers. We raise Nigerian dwarf goats, chickens, and honey bees. You will be staying in a 16ft Pacific yurt built on raised deck that has a covered deck for shade and rainy days. There is plenty of space for additional tents and RV campers to join! There is a fire pit, picnic table, full propane grill and composting toilet. There is also a wonderful warm wood stove for staying cozy! You can swim in the creek right next to the site or walk over to the North Fork of the Alsea River where there is 1/2 mile of river access and great winter steelhead fishing too. Close to the farm is world class mountain biking, hiking, fishing, waterfalls, great views, and surfing on the Oregon coast. The camp spot is a very private grassy nook nestled next to Honey Grove Creek. There are nature trails on the property with blackberry bushes. We offer farm fresh eggs, firewood bundles, and as the garden begins to ramp up- we will offer all the veggies to campers including goat cheese! We can do cash or Venmo payments. You will want to consider bringing the following... Lakeside Forest

Our piece of heaven… We have 200 acres of timber cozied up to Siltcoos Lake. Siltcoos Lake is approximately 3500 acres and warm enough to swim in! Your campsite is 10 private acres surrounded by the rest of our 200 acres. You are welcome to hike, bike, forage, and enjoy the whole 200 acre forest. Your 10 acre campsite is private for you and your guests. So let your pets off the leash, laugh, play music, have fun! Your site comes with a propane bbq grill, fire pit, patio set, table and chairs. There is plenty of flat, open area to maneuver several RVs and place tents. It is open and grassy. Our driveway is quite long, but gets you to peaceful privacy. Our driveway is part gravel and partly dirt that we grade as needed. You can place your kayaks and small boats into the lake at our property. RVs, tents, boats, bicycles, horses and pets welcome. We have a small horse corral if requested. We have many unimproved roads to access our creeks, springs, ponds and lake or enjoy the deer paths. Our property has elderberry, blackberry, huckleberry, mulberry, thimbleberry, salmonberry, currants… mushrooms, many wild edible plants and wild life! Siltcoos Lake has 2 boat ramps, 1 restaurant, 1 bar, 1 store, and boat rentals. The restaurant/bar/store (Darlings) will deliver, by boat, to your campsite for $10 !!! $20 minimum as of 2022. Or drive/boat over to Darlings for their well known friendly atmosphere and great food served inside or on their heated deck! Sorry no ATV use on property at this time. Riverside Camping

Thanks for checking us out! We are closed for the winter to give our property a rest but, we are taking reservations for spring and summer 2025. Feel free to message anytime with questions. We have two campsites on our property but, to give our guests a more private experience we allow one group at a time. Our one designated site, closest to the river bank we call the Riverside Site. It can be reserved for up to 4 people. It can only accommodate smaller tents, campers, pop up trailers, small pod-type trailers and larger rigs up to 15'. has a rustic firepit and deck for viewing the river. For groups of 5 or more or people or camping with large 10 person tents or trailers over 20', there will be an additional fee and you will need to set up camp in our Riverwood Site, about 150' from the riverbank. You will still have full access to the deck and firepit in the other site but, larger rigs cannot maneuver in the site without tearing up the grass and leaving ruts on our property. **Please note**When you make the reservation you will add an "Extra", ADDITIONAL CAMPSITE. We have indoor bathroom facilities for our guests in a separate apartment we have downstairs of our house. There is a small living and dining area, kitchenette with barista bar, microwave and small fridge. It is about 150' walk and is visible from the campsites but, still feels private. We also offer our little Bunkie, the Glass House for an extra fee. The Bunkie sleeps two comfortably. It has a nice mattress (Please bring your own sleeping bags), a comfy bench, a coat rack, remote control lights and a nice electric heater. There are curtains all around for privacy. You'll use the bathroom facilities in the apartment. All of our guests have full access to our personal dock to get down to the water. Feel free to fish off the dock, swim, Kayak, SUP or just enjoy the evening on the dock. Our property is about a 10 minute drive to the Ocean/Hwy 101, just south of Lincoln City. Lost Coast Adventure Camp

This magical property is conveniently located 5 miles north of Florence and directly on Hwy 101, approximately 3/4 of a mile from the ocean. This is a large private site that is surrounded by old growth timber and teaming with flora and fauna. Campers are encouraged to explore, but be aware, this property is wild.. and encounters with wildlife are common. Beyond the adventuring that can be done on the property, Baker Beach state park is less than a half a mile away and there is a plethora of trails, parks, and lakes within 10 miles. We do have full time neighbors just to the North, so we ask that you be respectful and cautious with regard to dogs/noise. Hwy 101 can be very dangerous for unsuspecting pets. There are several roadside campfire stations(directly across 101 from camp) offering small bundles for $5-6/night. **Be advised that we are slowly working on the property to eventually create more camping space. There was a lot of dirt/fill brought in over the winter of 2022 and the property may not be as green as years past.** Please be our guests, relax, and enjoy!

Great spot, some sites are a little close together and some back up to the highway, but overall a very nice spot to stop at if you are traveling the Oregon coast. The page up above says pets aren't allowed, but that is not the case at all. I took my lab and she loved it. Saw many other dogs in the campground and on the beach. The no pets thing may refer to seasonal restrictions on pets due to nesting birds, but that would only apply to the beach, not the campground.
