Welcome to Yosemite Colfax Spring! Home to a basecamp for river rafting trips during the summertime, we are located 15 minutes driving distance to the entrance to Yosemite National Park. If you are staying with us between May - September and want to come rafting, ask us about our river trips! Our camp sits on a ridge with views down into the Tuolumne River Canyon. The Tuolumne River begins at 13,000 feet of elevation in the High Country of Tuolumne Meadows and provides drinking water for over 2.7 million people in San Francisco. With cedar and pine trees, manzanita bushes, and wildflowers in the spring, enjoy the Sierras' flora and fauna. Our family has been operating our river rafting company for over 50 years, the last 11 of those years being here at Colfax Spring. Conveniently located off Highway 120, we are in close proximity to swimming holes, hikes, and more. Enjoy the privacy of our campsite and getting world-class views to yourself, with all of the amenities (flushing toilets, wi-fi, showers.) Make sure to check the Yosemite National Park website for information about reservations to visit the park!

(4) Main Tuolumne Camp
We had an incredible stay at Campsite Number 4! The location is simply beautiful and just 15 minutes from the entrance of Yosemite National Park, making it the perfect base for our adventures. Liza and Tom were amazing hosts—very responsive and helpful throughout the weekend. The facilities were top-notch; the bathrooms and shower were clean and provided hot water, which felt fantastic after a long day of hiking. While fires aren’t allowed in the area, the propane fire ring provided by our hosts kept us warm and cozy at night. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend this campsite to anyone planning a trip to Yosemite. We can’t wait to return and explore different campsites on this property!

(9) Tenaya Camp
We really enjoyed our stay at Liza and Tom’s land. It was easy to find, and it’s very close to the entrance to Yosemite- super convenient location for visiting the park. The bathrooms are pristine! So clean, spacious, and private. The hot showers and provided towels were wonderful after a day of hiking. All of the campsites have a level platform or other level surface (ours was sand) for a tent which is so nice. The only thing to consider is that these campsites are right off the highway so there is noise from cars, and there are huge power lines going over the campsites which produces a buzzing sound at all times. In this way, it doesn’t feel like a nature escape, but it gets you as close to the park entrance as possible so it’s more than a fair trade-off if you’re planning to drive into the park! The surrounding hills are beautiful and the sunsets are spectacular.

I loved camping in this area with only a 40 min drive to the entrance of Yosemite and a 3 min drive to the nearest diner with yummy food there's no going wrong with this place. My site was#5 and it had a lovely view of the waterfall and soothing sound to go to bed. The hosts were lovely and amenities were superb!

(8) Upper Tuolumne Camp
I loved tent camping at Liza and Tom's campground! The bathrooms are clean, and the area was quiet. I would just bring a canopy or umbrella next time since our lot didn't have any shade or covering from the sun.

Great stay!
Great location for us close to Yosemite. for day trips. We stayed at the Tenaya campsite in our 23 foot travel trailer. It is built for off-road camping, and the site is up a short steep hill- but our 4x4 and trailer did fine. It is a tight turnaround up top (where our site was) so a longer rig may be tight. We loved the sunrise and sunset views, the bath house is kept clean and towels are provided. We would definitely stay again and recommend to friends!

Incredible view from this campsite. Site itself and bathhouse were both great and had everything we needed. We came in after dark and it was easy to set up camp. Really great to wake up in the morning with the beautiful view.
