Creekside Cabin
Great spot by the creek
Great place for one night or longer. Thor is accomodating and communicative. He and his father have been creating the campsites and homestead for 4 years. I agree with most campers that I'm exicted to see how it will look next time.
You and your group will have plenty of space and privacy. We loved the new cabin and had a great swimming hole right next to the site.
There are hammocks for everyone to use and my kids got to go into the giant chicken coop which they loved.
My dog was happy to run around and get a bit of city out of her. When we left I saw that there is a town really close by. Would be a fun place to stay to go to Santa Cruz, Big Basin, or the beach and then come back.
Not too many bugs in the evening even by the water.

Up Shit creek, Cabin
As noted in the description, this place is not super clean. There are stuff/junks everywhere. But if you get over it, it’s a nice place to stay. Thor was very welcoming and nice. We stayed at the cabin, and the inside was quite nice. There was no curtains for some windows though, so if you turn on the light at night, people can see everything from outside. And yes, there were other campers at the site when we stayed. 3 other groups. We chatted with one of them over the shared campfire and it was very nice. There was a small patio+kitchen outside of the cabin. There was a stove there, but we didn’t want to use it because it was too rusty. We used the stove we brought. Restroom was a shared porta potty. It was a pretty nice and clean porta potty.
They had a huge chicken cage with a lot of chickens and bunnies, and my 6 year old son loved it. We could have fresh eggs for free in the morning and it was very nice. My son loved hanging out at the stream nearby. Thor told us there are ticks and mosquitoes but we didn’t encounter any. He says the chickens eat most of the ticks.

Had a great time at Thor’s camp spot. The set up was perfect for what we needed and he had everything. The chickens were an extra bonus and he gave everyone fresh eggs.
