Fantastic site and location!
We spent two nights here and it was great. Julie greeted us with pamphlets about the site, and local information. The site is behind a gate, very private, cute, and well designed. No issues getting in or out with our 34 ft 5th wheel. Walking distance to Columbia State Historic Park, and very short drive to downtown Sonora. Will definitely go back for more relaxation in the near future.

This is such a special, private spot! We absolutely loved our stay and will be back. It's not often you can have a nice, private place all to yourself and yet still have water, electricity, and wifi! The campground is in a beautiful, wooded, tucked-away spot on the property that is well maintained and safe. We got the treat of seeing a family of deer the first night. Julie is an amazing host, who greeted us when we got there and provided us with a ton of great recommendations to see, eat, and do during our visit. If you're looking to visit this area, do not hesitate to book this campground!!

A Slice of Heaven for Campers
Couldn’t have found a better HipCamp. Upon arrival, Julie was there to greet us with happiness and kindness. The campsite is immaculate! Clean, organized, and tastefully decorated with cute signage. It was very homey and peaceful feeling. Games were provided for our entertainment, and we had so much fun playing them. This campsite is private and serene. We had an amazing stay and can’t wait to return. Good job creating this fun slice of heaven Julie! We love it!!

We had a great weekend at Squirrel Rock. There are plenty of great sites/attractions nearby or you can have a great time hanging out at camp with provided horseshoes, cornhole, or board/card games. The campground is close to the owner’s house, but you never feel like you don’t have your own privacy. The nearby airport was never a nuisance - in fact, our kids loved hearing and seeing the planes takeoff and land in the distance. Would definitely recommend this site to anyone.
