San Diego Mountain Lodge is a beautiful escape to nature sprawled out over about 40 acres on a breathtaking spot that we call Hideout Mountain in Santa Ysabel, CA. Multiple experiences are offered: -- glamping in our vintage camper trailers, -- RV sites with full hookups and incredible views of Lake Henshaw -- campsites, -- luxury camping in our remodeled cabins (studio, 1br, and 2br cabins) each with different amenities ranging from full kitchens, wood burning fireplaces, large outdoor decks and private fire pits. Gather and share ideas with fellow guests at our community firepit and picnic tables. What makes Hideout Mountain a magical place? #1 on the list are the stunning views as far as the eye can see of Lake Henshaw and the valley and surrounding mountains. We also have a one-of-a-kind, world renowned restaurant and bar on the property: Josie's Hideout Saloon, open on weekends with live music. We are located just a few minutes drive away from downtown Santa Ysabel and Julian, with easy access off Hwy 76.

The Cove#1: OakTree Shaded Campsite
Such a fun and unique little campground! Wasn’t sure what to expect but it was really neat, host was generous and helped us find our site when we arrived in the dark. Would love to come back and try one of the little trailers or cabins!

RV Campsite #1 - The Crossing
Don’t think, just book.
If you want a quieter campsite, this one’s not for you, but the description does inform you ahead of time. So with that being said, we had an AMAZING time. We loved hearing the roar of the bikes at Josie’s Hideout and the live band that played during the day time. As the night came it started to quiet down and it was just as lovely. The showers and restroom are down a couple flights of stairs so prepare for a mini hike back to your site. On-site manager Bobby was also a nice guy, someone’s earlier review said he wasn’t but he’s very chill! There’s a convenient spigot and huge area that fit our 2 tents, 1 canopy (limited shade), and our two vehicles. I don’t know what else to say besides that we had a great time and are planning to come back! This time to try the VCT sites! And the amphitheater… and the Cove… and the Raven… shoot, all the cabins!

The Real Teal -VCT#1 - Pet Free
We absolutely loved our stay at the San Diego Mountain Lodge! The owner was so kind to us & the property was gorgeous. We absolutely loved the saloon, the food was delicious and the vibes were outstanding. It was just far enough away to feel like a true camping getaway! I also loved how close it was to Julian + other state parks/forests! We definitely plan on coming back & bringing more of our family & friends!

# 13 - The Raven (Tiny Home)
The Raven Tiny Home
The Raven is in a really nice area with great views!! We used it as a base camp to explore Santa Ysabel and Julian which worked out well for us. Plenty of cooking supplies, so we were able to make breakfast and coffee to get us going in the morning. The loft is a bit tight, but manageable and the bedding is very comfortable. The communication from the host is top notch!!!

The Cove#1: OakTree Shaded Campsite
Great space for easy camping. There were tables, swing, hammock, and a fire pit. The toilet and shower were a short walk away. Campground had everything one needs. I think the only thing I wish they had upon arrival was a map of where to get water, toilets, etc
