Welcome to Lazy Dog Ranch! We only have one Yurt/rental on the property, but it is not your average yurt; this is glamping at its best. Set on 3 pristine acres in an open meadow surrounded by pine and cedar, our Yurt offers incredible views with a serene peaceful setting. This is the only rental on the property, so it is super private. You have your own separate driveway, and the owner's home is on the other side of the land, ensuring a very private stay. This is luxury yurting! The owner spared no expense in the buildout and furnishings. Every detail has been considered to make your stay unforgettable, including fast WiFi, well equipped kitchen & bath, high-end furniture and bedding, epic sunset patio views, great recommendations in town, and close proximity to the Yuba river (7 min drive to Edwards Xing) and all that Nevada City / Grass Valley has to offer.A beautiful 20 foot Yurt with an attached full bathroom, real plumbing (no composting toilet!), a super comfy queen size bed, and additional queen size air mattress for additional guests (up to 2), fast dedicated wifi, large shower, kitchenette, dining and living room, set on Lazy Dog Ranch's pristine 3 acre property full of cedars and pine. Conveniently located only a 7 minute drive to the best spot to access the Yuba River (Edwards Crossing) and 12 minute drive into downtown Nevada City.

This was an amazing place to stay for the weekend! Far enough away from everything that it was peaceful, but close enough to things that we could easily make excursions into town or to hiking spots. We loved having all the amenities where we didn't have to think too hard about what we needed for a successful trip! Also, the towels and linens were very nice!!

First time staying in the yurt
We visited Nevada city on our birthday trip from 3 days and decided to stay in the yurt for the first time ever. We really enjoyed our stay and the yurt is truly comfortable, host thought of every detail. It's like glamping but all the comfort you could think of. Love the idea of having a kitchen and you can make dinner or breakfast if you don't want to drive into town, which is about 12-15 min. Very peaceful and relaxing place. Book this if you want to experience something new and have all the comfort you need, I would say this was better than staying in the hotel.

The yurt is exactly as pictured in the photos. Everything looks new and the decor is inviting. It’s great to have a full bathroom attached (with hot water!), the kitchenette was a plus (with everything you need to cook your meals), the bed was super comfortable and the location is nice! It’s near downtown Nevada City, which has a lot of cute shops and cafes. There’s also access to a lot of hiking trails and state parks nearby. As for the host, David was amazing. He was so kind and accommodating. Communication was great! He even checked in to see if we needed extra blankets (we were not expecting rain this weekend). Overall, it was a great experience and I hope to come back again in the future.

I love the yurt it was clean and up to the point, the bathroom was amazing with hot water and extremely clean. Just have only one suggestion for the host if he could get a cooling system for summer, afternoons are very hot inside the yurt.
