This campsite is a natural setting in the corner of our lower pasture. It features several oaks and lots of room. It is an extremely private spot free from other campers or busy traffic. This site now includes a picnic table on a leveled area, a firepit and a toilet . Water is available if you wish to hike a bit up a hill. You can enjoy our beautiful evening skies, sunrises and starlit nights. If you are looking for a peaceful, poison oak free, quiet hideaway, this is your place. Trails are available for walks and taking in the views of the valley below. Since this site is tucked away in our pasture we recommend that campers arrive before dark. We are located near Lake San Antonio, Lake Nacimiento, San Antonio Mission, San Miguel Mission, Fort Hunter Liggett, and the Nacitone Museum. There is local wine tasting and we are 45 minutes away from wine tasting in Paso Robles. Many campers find this to be an ideal meeting place for family and friends coming from the north and south.

Love this place
Neil and Karen are always amazing hosts responsive always answering any questions.. plus side quite clean peaceful and love hearing the coyotes at night… Love the stars and nature…. Water available for washing hands… all in all love this place

Perfect spot for weekend getaway. Nice quiet and clean camp site, had fun spotting various birds and quails and rabbits with my kid.

Great campsite and stay!
Lovely campsite! It was a perfect half way point between SF and LA. The grounds were beautiful and the campsite itself had everything we needed - campfire, table, even potable water and a bathroom. Neil and his wife were so great - they gave us very helpful directions and even came to check on us and brought us ice cream. Would absolutely recommend! Also not too far from Pasos Robles!

Hideaway Oaks
Niel and Karen were amazing hosts! They came out to our site when we arrived to introduce themselves and make sure we were settled. Their land is serene and full of wildlife! We saw many jackrabbits, deer, hawks, and even a friendly tarantula! The night sky was full of stars and beautiful. I would HIGHLY recommend this hipcamp site to those who want to get away, enjoy some wildlife and see all the stars!
