CLOSE TO YOSEMITE! Explore the mines and hang out on our Groveland, California ranch! We are 35 minutes to the main gate of Yosemite National Park. A great place to stay just outside of the park. We have 824 acres on a beautiful cattle ranch with two small ponds. On our property, you'll find frogs, turtles, oak trees, pine trees and stunning views of Yosemite. We have several campsites to choose from including RV camping, tent camping, and a glamping tent. Pets are welcome. Campfires are permitted as long as there is no fire ban. Potable water and toilet are available onsite. There's a golf course less than a mile away. We are also very close to town. In just a few minutes, you can drive to our local grocery store and pizza parlour. We are a 10-minute drive to Pine Mountain Lake. Beautiful Pine Mountain Lake offers golfing, dining, horseback riding, water sports and an airport. When you come to the ranch it feels like you are hundreds of miles away from civilization, but still close to everything you need. It is incredibly peaceful! This is a great place for someone who wants to escape city life and enjoy the tranquillity of nature. Much of the ranch is open wilderness for you to explore, and it's not uncommon to see deer, frogs, turtles, quail, turkeys, or other countless species of birds. Diamond Gulch Camp is the perfect place to relax if you’re a photographer, artist, family or a group of friends looking for a place to camp near Yosemite. A small portion of the property was used as a gold mine years ago, and you may find remnants of old home sites if you go exploring. We're not far from Wards Ferry Road, Groveland, Lake Don Pedro and other interesting places.

Diamond Gulch Camp
We stayed at Diamond Gulch Camp for 2 nights while on a Yosemite trip. The area where the camp is located is beautiful and the camp is a convenient distance from Yosemite National Park. The camp itself is mostly well maintained and we really appreciated the abundance of fire wood that was supplied and stacked at every site - what a bonus! The camp area is fenced in which is helpful as cows wander and graze on the farm lands. During our stay the porta potties at the site were really full and out of toilet paper. My own group and others had a hard time with this. At the entrance to Diamond Gulch Camp there's quite a large Trump Vance "Take America Back" Sign, which we found threatening and unwelcoming. Nevertheless we had a good stay. Thank you!

Yosemite camp
There was plenty of fire wood and water. The shower under the stars is really the highlight. Plenty of hot water. The drive into Yosemite was to bad. We liked everything about it and would recommend it

Group Tent site camping (10 guests)
Great spot for family camping!
Our group absolutely loved camping on John’s property. John is very nice, and you can tell he cares a great deal about his land. We were camping with six adults and three kids all under 2 years old. John told us where the animals were hanging out, including where the newest baby donkey was that was only a day old! Firewood was provided with the camp site, and having bathrooms, a sink, and a hot shower if needed was a big bonus! Thanks, John, for making our first camping trip with our 15mo old a blast!

Yosemite Glamping Tent!
Great location in a wonderful small town, our two dogs loved exploring the area and meeting new cow friends! Beds were comfortable and we had a wonderful time around the fire! Yosemite was a short drive away and if you also have a Tesla…there’s a charging station conveniently in the cute town of Groveland 10 min away. We charged and grabbed breakfast in the morning before heading out.

Walt’s Mining Camp 5
Perfect stop in Groveland!
This was far more than I expected. It was like a proper campground with portable toilets and outdoor showers. Really nice environment and beautiful views, in the Oak trees. Thank you for sharing your land with us campers.
