Our 120 remote acres are adjacent to Shasta Trinity National Forest in the beautiful Cascade Range between Mt. Lassen and Mt. Shasta in Northern California. It's a working ranch with tree farms, animals, hydroelectric power, sawmill, gardens, orchards, creeks, springs, trails, and our camp alongside Kosk Creek. We're 54 miles from Redding off of 299E, (about 1-1/2 hour drive). DO NOT TAKE ROAD 11 FROM THE NORTH, IT IS CLOSED! PIease try to ignore the "car art" in the Pit River Tribe's Rancheria as you're coming here. Drive right through it, it's no reflection on us. The last mile or so of the road here can be pretty rough, but on arrival, you'll know it's worth the trip! No Cell phone service available here, so it's the perfect opportunity to unplug. We do have a land line up at the house in case of an emergency. Also, if you really need it, WiFi is available at the house.

A piece of paradise! Out of the way and worth the drive. The camp is so beautiful, quiet and peaceful. A wonderful place to unwind and enjoy nature. Will definitely return and stay a little longer.

The beautiful camp that has it all
Great spot! We were a bit concerned on the drive up. It's a remote area and the roads as we got closer were rough. However, it is worth the drive. Once we arrived, we were able to enjoy beautiful views, awesome stargazing, great swimming, sweet animals to pet and a clean bathroom & shower. The kitchen area was very useful. We didn't think we would use it, but it was so handy that we ended up using it for all our meals. We stayed in a tent site by the river, because that's what we enjoy, but there are options for people who prefer to sleep in a regular bed with air conditioning while they camp. Most importantly, the host was friendly, kind and informative. It was all we were hoping for and more. We'll be back next year (and we won't bother bringing our camp stove and pots/pans next time) !

Beautiful creekside camp spot...
Beautiful creekside campground with well-stocked outdoor kitchen. Beautiful land, lovely of Nora and Scott to share with campers. Each campsite has creekside views, picnic table, and fire pit. Flat tent spots surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers. Also cabins and other accomodations available.

Another perfectly magical stay!
We loved our visit to Stoney Meadows last month so much we returned this past weekend only a few weeks later to do it all over again (marking our 3rd visit)! Once again we had the best time wondering the massive property, feeding the horses and donkeys, playing in the creek and hiking to the swimming hole, and of course getting to spend the weekend with all of Scott and Nora's amazing dogs who we've bonded so much with over our visits and they remember us each time! Scott and Nora are always so helpful and friendly, and this trip was really special getting to learn more about the history of the property, and all the work Scott puts into generating power from the water flow. The best part of visiting over the changing summer months is seeing the blooming of plants and produce on the property - blueberries galore and sky high sunflowers this time! A long weekend never feels like enough time in this magical hidden slice of heaven and are so grateful we've found Stoney Meadows - it's become such a special place for my husband, dog and I and we can't wait to return for many years to come.

Loved it and will return!
Absolutely loved it and we will be back next summer!!! There were more amenities than I expected. The property is gorgeous. The river was beautiful and pleasant to be in. Scott was very nice and super accommodating. Definitely pay attention to the directions in the listing and compare them carefully with Google maps… trust the description more than Google maps. The entrance gate/fence is teal now rather than red. Wish we could get in another visit before school starts but we’ll be back next summer!
