Great Camping spot. No service or WiFi. Clean toilets. You can’t actually swim in the lake, too much Algae but it’s beautiful to hang out by it

Nice place!
This place was such a nice place to camp at! The bathrooms were very clean and spacey. The pond was so cute and had row boats. Has a cool place to makes fires. It is a little confusing as there’s no actual spots that are marked. You just go wherever you want.

Such a beautiful site. Loved every moment here & will definitely be back soon with our whole family. Brought my boyfriend here for his birthday and he absolutely enjoyed it. We stayed right by the farthest lake and it was such a beautiful view to wake up to.

My huge group (of 21) booked 4 sites at camp Hye Sierra. We had an excellent stay and enjoyed the great amenities. There is a lot of space to enjoy. From the pond with canoes, volleyball, bastketball/tennis courts, and the soccer field. The bathrooms are very clean, the groundskeeper Tony was great and even brought clean trash bins to our site and picked them up daily. The communal fire pit is huge and beautifully laid out. We enjoyed smores, stories, and stargazing. We saw some wildlife from deer, fox, frogs, and various birds. For sure my group will have fond memories of this place. Camp Hye Sierra sits right above 4000 feet above sea level. We had cooler temperatures at night around 55 degrees, a great summer getaway. We hope to visit again soon.

Nice camp! The lake with boats was very nice. The spot we chose was nice and secluded (Vista View 3) compared to others

Not Private But Great Bathrooms
Overall the camping experience here was fine. The camp manager was friendly and helpful, the bathrooms were clean and well lit, and we had access to a water hose near by. Where we were disappointed was the lack or any designated areas to camp. We usually camp at sites with clear areas for each campsite. There was none of that here. We were just told where the small pond was and that anywhere around there would be fine. This doesn't sound so bad until you realize there isn't a lot of flat grassy areas to setup your campsite. This made it hard to spread out and feel like you had your own space. Luckily we got there early and got a spot by the pond but another group had to go setup by an old building up the hill because they didn't want to setup right next to us. I think designated campsites that are more spread out around the pond would go a long way in helping campers feel less lost when they get there. We met almost every other group and they were all a little lost when they got there as to where they were supposed/allowed to setup. A heads up about the 3 mile fire road to get to the camp would be great as well for anyone thinking of bringing a large trailer.
