Wesley was very communicative and helpful. The land was prepped really well for the campsites. I appreciated the help setting up the fire ring. Access to the bathrooms was great. There was a sweet lake on the property you can walk to too. I would absolutely stay again!
Overall it was an okay experience. We picked the location for the eclipse as it was on the path of totality. The host was friendly and accommodating. One of cars died and needed a jump and the host came quick with cables.
We chose the slightly more expensive sites that were closer to water but we still ended up in a field anyway. We didn't test the water since it was still too cold to get in and we don't fish, so this review doesn't cover that.
The ground we camped on was fairly even. The grass was sharp and twig like. I would be careful with using air pads without a ground sheet or foam mat underneath.
We booked two sites so you might see this same review again.
The family and I went tent camping on the land here for the Solar Eclipse weekend. Stayed 2 nights and had a blast. We had a nice, secluded area. You could walk around the pond that was there. Plenty of space from other campers. Host was extremely pleasant to deal with and will help you out in any way he can!
This site met our needs perfectly. It's rustic which you would expect from a Hipcamp with horses and chickens to enjoy. We were able to use their hose for free to fill our freshwater tank on our RV. Candida was great with communication. The money goes towards the horse sanctuary which is a very worthy cause. I would definitely recommend staying here!
Quiet and clean place to stay, just remember no white lights, blue, green, amber, and red only, will help to see more stars
