Bridger Bay Campground

Leave your watch behind, ‘cause you’ll be running on island time at the Bridger Bay Campground on Utah’s Antelope Island. The largest island in the Great Salt Lake, water here is five times saltier than the ocean—all the more reason to pack lots of drinking water! (The day-use area has running water if you run out, though.) More spread out than the island’s other campground, sites here fit eight people and offer spacious beach camping at its best. 600 American bison roam the island, as well as bighorn sheep and, yes, antelopes. Horseback rides are offered around the island’s trails, dogs are welcome, and the space is accessible to RVs by a two-lane causeway from the mainland. What more could you need?
