We are located in Marblemount, WA along the Cascade river. Every site we have you can hear the river and walk to in less that 5 minutes. There is an amazing rocky beach along the river with the view of mountains all around.
We are located 4 minutes from the town of Marblemount were there is 2 gas stations with some food and drink items, propane and a small hardware section year round. Marblemount has 3 restaurants open in the summer. The town also a post office.
We are 15 minutes from the North Cascades National Park and an entrance to the Pacific Crest Trail.
We offer fire wood ($5.00 a bundle), propane fire pits ($10.00 a night, please request ahead via messaging to Heather ) and in season vegetables (price varies depending). You can pay cash or Venmo on site.
Please be aware that we have a Firework show for the 4th of July.

Welcome to Lil Bit O' Heaven Camping! Here you will find beautiful and unique places to camp right on the Cascade River, approximately 3 minutes outside of Marblemount, WA. We are right next to the Marblemount Boat Launch and within an easy walk into town if you want to visit the local restaurants or need camping gear. Our property has five tent campsites on the river as well as a 26' glamping dome (previously used for artic research) completely painted with a galaxy of the night sky. A converted antique hay trailer turned tiny house with an 8' ceiling loft with 3-way views of the forest and river, deck, and private "magic spot" on the Cascade River.
The Lil Bit O Heaven Campground is the perfect base camp for your summer adventure! Firewood is available onsite most of the summer. Fresh, clean drinking water, permanent bathrooms and a private shower are available for all campers. An outdoor (completely private) shower is available for those who book the tiny house.
Please note that you must follow any local fire bans. Please check the fire conditions PRIOR to making a campfire.
Please note that there are areas where you can get directly to the side of the Cascade River, and the river is swift and dangerous! It is not safe for swimming and no safe for unattended children and/or pets.

Chom's RV Campground staff have been working on an extensive remodel, so bare with us as we are new here too! Camping is unaffected as there are plenty of woods to explore here. Only the initial appearance of the old laundry(to be restored in near future), might send confusion. The bathrooms are completely ready to use and we have hot showers!
Also, we just finished making an amazing nature walk along the river, where you can find blackberries, huckleberries, salmon berries, and even apples, (depending on the time of year). We are a short 11 minute drive to the North Cascades National Park! During the winter (typically end of November/early December through April/May) part of Highway 20 and driving access to the park is closed. You are still able to get to our dome using Highway 20 as that part is open all year round, but you are unable to access the park. You are able to drive to the entrance, park and snow shoe in if you'd like.
The part of Highway 20 that is closed is on the west side at milepost 134 at the Ross Dam Trailhead and on the east side, at milepost 171 at the Silver Star Gate, near Mazama.
An alternative hiking destination for the winter months is the Rockport State Park which is only a 4 minute drive from the dome. You are able to purchase a day pass on your phone once you arrive.

What a great spot, just across the road from the Skagit River. Very relaxing and beautiful! They were super nice to us and both the camp host and maintenance guy helped us get to a spot. We had some issues early on with getting to the campground, but after a three day delay we made it. We will certainly stay here again!

We had an awesome stay at Zach’s! Epic location. No problems plugging in my Tesla for some car camping before hiking to see the larches on Heather Maple Pass! We walked to the tavern down the road for dinner and met a cool local girl and made friends with the bartender Lori! The shower was such a nice treat after a long hike. Bathrooms were clean and the area was quiet. Trash cans available on site. Would highly recommend this spot!

What a cool experience! The Dome was comfortable and unlike anywhere I have ever stayed before. Definitely did not get cold with the thoughtful amenities: space heaters and blankets. There is firewood available for purchase and the bathrooms are a luxury! The only thing I’d be aware of is that you may not have service upon arrival, so you may not be able to contact Zachary thru the app. There is a code to get into the dome that I didn’t have directly, but luckily we were able to figure it out. Overall, I definitely recommend staying in the galaxy dome!

This arctic dome was such a cool find while hiking in the North Cascades! It had snowed on us on a few hikes so we were glad for some warmth. Both the dome and the restrooms were clean and nice. The bed was comfortable. I did have to bring all of my blankets in because I couldn’t figure out the second heater (skill issue)! There are nice campsites down the trail overlooking the river and they’re really cute for groups! I love how close this was to town for snacks, too.

This is a beautiful spot and a great base for visiting the national park! The indoor and outdoor amenities were great - we appreciated the snacks, ample resources for cooking, and many options for getting warm (2 electric heaters, hot tub, wood fire stove, and outdoor fire pit). You can see the small road from the dome and hear a bit of highway noise, so it's not fully isolated, but that also makes it quick to get back onto the road to head to the trailhead (it took us about 1 hour to get to the Maple Pass Loop). We also checked out the Barr Creek conservation area about 0.25 miles up the road, which has a very pretty little loop trail.

Overview
About
Stretching 180 miles south from the Canadian border, this massive, 3.8-million-acre national forest offers something for everyone, from dry steppes and verdant valleys to towering glacial peaks and lush forests. Popular activities include hiking, mountain biking, climbing, horseback riding, fishing, hunting, and, in winter, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling. Not surprisingly, the camping options are vast as well, with more than 140 developed and dispersed campsites and plenty of space for backcountry camping.
Notable campgrounds
- Best for hikers and birdwatchers: The Klipchuk Campground offers easy access to hiking trails along the North Cascade Scenic Highway and great birdwatching from camp.
- Best for lake views and water access: All sites at the tent-only Glacier View Campground have lake and mountain views, plus easy access to Lake Wenatchee.
- Best for climbers: The Early Winters Campground is close to the Goat Wall and Fun Rock climbing areas.
Tips for snagging a campsite
- Most campgrounds are first-come, first-served, so plan to arrive early in the day or during the week to grab a spot. More than 20 campgrounds offer campsites available for advance reservations. Book a spot for peak season as soon as possible.
- Be sure to check on seasonal opening and closing dates, which vary by campground.
When to go
Summer is the peak season for the forest, and despite the vast size, popular areas can see crowds. Spring is a great time for wildflowers and waterfalls, while late summer and fall bring berries and mushrooms. Late September and early October are good times to look for fall colors. The national forest is home to several ski resorts, which are snow dependent.
Know before you go
- Permits are required for fishing, hunting, and harvesting of berries and mushrooms.
- Overnight permits are required for the Enchantments Area from May 15 to October 31, with a pre-season lottery held between February 15 and March 1.
- Motorized and mechanized equipment, including bicycles and drones, are not permitted in designated wilderness areas.
- Pack some rain gear. Some areas of the forest can see up to 70 inches of precipitation a year.
- Pets are prohibited in the Enchantment Area and Ingalls Lake area of Alpine Lakes Wilderness.
- Cell phone coverage can be very spotty, especially in valleys and along rivers, streams, and lakes.

We had campsite 2 which provided good access to the river, but was not very private and a little too close to bumping river road. Overall a great campsite compared to others in the area, quiet at night, water available, privy in decent condition, but I’d try for site 6 or 7 in the future.

Seems abandoned. There’s a burned car by the creek with lots of trash. I think people have been trying to live down there. I would avoid the area. Doesn’t feel safe anymore

The campground was super quiet so that was nice. We started in site 12 - warning: do not book site 12 - the smelliest outhouses you have ever been in are essentially part of site 12. We stayed in site 12 1 night and moved across the street to site 13... which is WAY better. Right along the river and a big site. Lots of yellow jackets flying around while warm sun is out. Sites 9 and 11 look nice, too. Both are along the River.

I camped here this summer and for one night only --- for good reason! IT'S WAY TOO NOISY! Not because of people, but because it's only about 1/10 of a mile to 207 which has TONS OF TRAFFIC that you can hear LOUD and Clear from campground. I do NOT go camping to listen to highway traffic. that is o way to enjoy nature. I will never go here again.

I've camped here twice, mid-week trips in Aug 2018 (a handful of campsites occupied out of the 10 available and 2019 (only a trailer at one end and a family with a couple tents near the middle). Because you can't make reservations, it seems to dissuade people from coming. There is some traffic noise from Salmon La Sac Rd but it's not bad at all on weekdays, and there are hardly any cars on the road after dark.
Big warning - I had a bear in my site in 2019. I stupidly had left my cooler out. The bear ran as soon as he saw my flashlight shining from the tent doorway, but he decimated my food. So don't be me - put anything related to food or personal hygiene into your vehicle or trailer at night.

My niece and I spent last week at this lovely campsite. We then hiked several miles into the backcountry toward Mt Maude/Ice lakes, camping, and enjoying our beautiful surroundings. An amazing aftermath of the entiat fires aparent, although evidence of regrowth in abundance. Made our hearts feel good to encounter over 20 dear on our trip. We were sad to leave, as we were all alone in one of the most beautiful, majestic places in America. Please take the time to explore this gorgous part of Washington State. You're going to be impressed!

Chill and very well maintained campground outside Lake Wenatchee. Very easy access to the creek and you can walk to the Lake if you want. Booking online is a little tricky because for some reason they don’t show you the map of the campground when choosing a site. A lot of the sites are close to the road which was probably my biggest gripe, so the best sites are definitely the ones along the creek. Bathrooms were standard flush, but bring your own soap. Water spigots located throughout. Firewood was for sale at the camp host for $7/bundle (cash only). Be aware of mosquitos in the summer and don’t forget the bug spray, I got bit within 30 seconds of getting out of the car.

The rest of the Methow Valley was hot and choked with dust and people, but up at Loup Loup it was cool, quiet, and almost no people. Sites are spacious with lots of privacy, and sheltered by the trees so very little wind. Great place to camp and cool down! Cons are limited water.

Excellent campground that isn’t too far off the beaten path but far enough out to be infrequently visited. All the sites include picnic tables and nice fire pits. There is 1 vault toilet onsite as well. The campground is well maintained and I didn’t see a single piece of trash anywhere. Place was perfect with 1 single exception. The mosquitoes are absolutely horrible. Was incredibly difficult to escape them. Campfire, bug spray, etc. It barely made a difference. Either way I would highly recommend and I will surely be back, albeit with more mosquito defense of some kind...

Stayed here in July of 2017 and loved it. No water or electricity but plenty of RV and tent sites. Sites are booked first come first served but we had no problem getting three all together on Thursday evening. There are outhouses available on site and dumpsters for garbage. Many forest service roads in the area to explore and several hiking trails. Mostly quiet with the river running past. I would definitely return.

Indoor plumbing with hot water, which is rare in USFS rental cabins. However, pretty basic for the price ($80). Propane cooking stove was out of order, so had to cook outside on Coleman stove. Also stinky propane smell, which could be remedied by opening large and well-screened windows. Lovely little spot to veg by the creek. Trails in area open to ORV use, so dusty and rocky. Oddest of all, there's a parking lot next door to the cabin with a campground host RV. I for one like to rent USFS cabins in part for the solitude!

If the road conditions had been better I would rate a 5. Chelan county ranger district lists this as a "drive-in campsite" with no other details. DO NOT DRIVE TO THIS CAMPSITE UNLESS YOU HAVE AN OFFROADING VEHICLE. about 30 miles of very poorly kept gravel road on the Cliffside the entire time, so no way to turn around. in the last 3 miles $700 worth of damage was done to our vehicle from brush alone. Hope this helps someone else avoid the tricky situation we ended up in

My family just returned from our first camping trip with our four kids; ages 7, 6 & 2 year old twins. We LOVED Ida creek. The first come first serve campsites worked out well for us with a Wednesday arrival following the 4th of July. We snagged a large open site right next to the river. The grounds were beautiful and I loved how quiet and peaceful it was being truly in the wild. The vault toilet was a bit gross- but hey- it's camping. I appreciated the potable water and the garbage onsite. The fires WERE allowed in the fire pits so that made for warm mornings and fun smores filled evenings. We spent an afternoon hanging out by a slower spot in the river. The water was freezing but refreshing. The mountains were SO stunning- so scenic!

It's much cooler here so pack accordingly and beware of the mosquitos. We found a very secluded campground and it was really lovely though any of the sites would have been fine since there were no other campers. The little creek is super charming. The road up to the top were the camping site was is long and very rough so make sure to drive a vehicle that can handle that.

Taneum Camp is nested in a stunning secluded valley in the heart of the Okanagen Wilderness. Explore National Forest roads that weave high into range land. Think Ponderosa Pines, spring wildflowers, and the warm scent of sage to set the tone.

Way off the beaten path but worth the free retreat if driving through Mazama/Winthrop area. Great view of the valley further up the road and trail looking south.
