Being nestled in the trees was a cherished respite for us on our Spirit Walk. Sheila and Jeff were on the property to welcome us on arrival which was really nice. Their sweet cat supervised as we settled in. We were visited by chipmunks, squirrels, crows, and deer during our stay. Nice rustic cabin with a warm shower, comfy bed, and composting toilet plus nice kitchen amenities, walking trails, and fire pit. Charming!

This is a magical place. We stayed at “The Farm” in a travel trailer. Such a nice relaxing site. From the campfire area with the covered picnic table. We were able to make our meals on the grill. The morning walks with my dogs around the pond and by the goats, chickens and ostriches. They loved that. 😊 We can’t wait to return in October. ❤️

It was such a a beautiful place it had beautiful paths and lovely scenery. Sheila and Jeff are so nice I'm happy to have been able to come to there home. Me and my boyfriend had a wonderful time. It's the perfect spot to get away from the city. The next time I go I will definitely be staying longer.

We love staying at Trail 76! Clay is a great host, very helpful and prompt in communications. His spot is really amazing - private, quiet but has all the amenities of a regular campground and it’s also close to trails and town. This was our second stay and we’ll be back for sure. Local spots: Breakfast at Moose and Stella’s is awesome. Dinner at Trout Town Tavern is delicious. Cherry Street Market is amazing for produce, baked goods, jam, plants and yard decorations. Manistee Lake Bakery is perfect for ice cream and pizza.

2 nights at Ricky’s Pine River hunt/camp

Rick's cabin is so beautiful! He really has built a little slice of heaven in the woods. We had so much fun talking to him and meeting his sweet dog! We loved relaxing on the covered deck watching the fire below dance in the stoic stone firepit. Our son rode his bike and explored all around the trails on Rick's land, we hiked them too. Lots of nature to observe and the smells of the woods were delightful. This cabin was just what we were looking for in a quick family getaway! Rick has a large table for the kitchen counter setup with propane stoves, utensils, and a large glass water jug with an electric pump! The beds on the bunk were really comfortable, and the wood stove was so nice in the early mornings to warm the cabin up. The small dining table was perfect for taking it easy, drinking coffee and gazing out the window at the diverse trees. Rick also has a battery powered fan, and shop vac which were such nice things to have! He provided the firewood for both the outdoor pit and the small wood stove inside. The cabin is also a few miles from Yoder's of Tustin for some groceries, supplies, lots of baked treats and deli items including sandwiches. We drove to see the Pine River and the scenery around the area. Rick is a wonderful host! We will be back!! Thank you, Rick!!

Our little campsite was absolutely perfect! The property is beautiful, we had fun exploring the trails and meeting the animals! Kim was so welcoming and kind. The outhouse at our site was surprisingly really great, clean and fully stocked. Only spent one night but will definitely be back! It was such a lovely quick trip out of the city!

"Elysium Heritage Farm" is situated on 120 acres in Northeast, MI surrounded by woods, trails, ponds and canals. Enjoy access to a small farm that includes fainting goats, chickens, turkeys, rabbits, and more. Bring your pole and try your luck at some catch and release fishing. Enjoy viewing numerous types of wildflowers, birds, and butterflies. Depending on the season, (and how quietly you walk the trails) you may experience a wide variety of wildlife species. Although we don't allow motorized ATVs, you are welcome to bring a golf cart. Most of the trails are improved enough to allow you access. Absolutely NO hunting allowed on the property. The property is located just (5) miles off I-75 so it's also a convenient mid-trip destination for those on a longer distance excursion. In case you plan on fishing the local hotspots on Lake Huron (15 minutes away) and are trailering a boat, there is plenty of area to park your rig during your stay. It's only a ten-minute drive to Pinconning, where you can experience Michigan's "Cheese Town" and all it has to offer. There's a grocery store, numerous cheese shops, and a variety of party stores and restaurants. For the outdoor enthusiasts, don't miss out on going to the ever-famous "Northwoods Wholesale Outlet". Also nearby is the "Saganing Eagles Landing Casino" in Standish. We have resided here for over 30 years and can assist you in many ways to get the most out of your visit. By the way, the definition of the word "Elysium" is "Place of perfect bliss" and yes, we labeled it that long before the movie with Matt Damon was created.

Hosting May 22 - mid/Oct My husband Dan and I purchased this property 5 years ago and have totally restored the land, home and barn from its prior condition. Consequently, if you view the various on line satellite images be advised they are out of date and do not reflect the love we have put into our sanctuary. We are retired and live here with our two standard poodles Mila and Indiana. The property is 5 acres, mostly meadow with a maple grove as well as a wooded ravine. We have planted various fruit trees, cherries, apples, peach as well as pears. We also have a small grape and berry patch which is next to our vintage trailer. There is also an old abandoned trail through the forest that makes for a nice walk. Our location is convenient to Traverse City, Alden, Belaire, Kalkaska as well as the equestrian center and the casino in Williamsburg. There are various places to eat/drink within close proximity as well as places to purchase fuel, groceries and liquor. Old Mission and Leelanau peninsulas are a convenient drive where you can visit the many vineyards, orchards and enjoy the beautiful vistas of the lake and bays, or shop some of the unique stores and galleries. There are many off road vehicle and bike trails that are not far away as well. As well as boating on beautiful Torch Lake and the chain of lakes. A day trip to Sleeping Bear dunes is well worth the drive. We would be happy to make suggestions on activities, dining, entertainment during your stay. We currently have three sites which are on seperate areas of the property. Lake View site is a Vintage 1985 Avion travel trailer which as been completely renovated with all new systems. It is located with a western view of Lake Skegemog and next to our grape and berry patch in our back yard. Maple Grove site is a new Coachmen Catalina Destination series RV. It is located on the front side of the property next to the maple tree grove. Lavender Lane is located in front of our barn with a view of our small orchard and the forest, close to the walking trail. All our sites are fully outfitted with quality linens, towels, dishes and cooking equipment. All of the units have Air Conditioned and heat.

The cabin IS hooked up for electricity with a plug on the outside of the cabin for you to hook your OWN generator to, if desired There is an ADDITIONAL cabin on the property that MUST be rented separately. If you do not, the space could possibly be shared with other guests. Guest access This cabin is located on 10 acres with 1 other cabin and a shared screened in Pavillion located nearby. 4wd is required to access. There is an outhouse just down the trail behind the cabins and the shared screened in pavilion. There is a charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal). There is a bonfire pit between the two cabins as well. There are plenty of fallen trees for you to use as firewood. A phone number/address will also be provided for wood pickup or delivery if you’d prefer to take that route. Guests also may enjoy the “LiL ATV Trail” that is cut onto the property. This property was once part of an 80 acre farm. It has now grown into a mature forest with deer, turkey, squirrels, chipmunks, many types of songbirds and most recently a family of sandhill cranes. Our most recent improvement is an air conditioner in the Crow's Nest. Sheila grew up just across the road and spent many hours riding her horse and writing poetry on the property. No discharge of firearms is allowed on this property. As a retired artist, we love to entertain creative peaceful people and many think of our place as a quiet sanctuary that encourages creativity. We provide games, both outdoor and indoor, a screen house, hammock, nature trails and a new camp store with local items and snacks. There is an Amish community close by and a tour map is provided. We are also close to the largest canopy walk in the US at Whiting Forest and Dow Gardens. Only 25 minutes away. There is a small water park in the closest town with a beach. Locally there is tubing and canoeing at the Cedar River in Gladwin and kayaking at Pinconning Park on Saginaw Bay. Guests can explore many antique shops as well as Pinconna and Northwoods Outlet store. Many of our campers never leave the property but choose to relax and watch the life of the forest. We provide linens, towels, and cookware. There is a grill outside and a microwave and oven inside along with a coffee maker and mini fridge.

Within 3 miles you are able to gain access to State property, the Manistee River, and Chase Creek. From the trails in this area you can go as far as Houghton Lake and Fife Lake. Great area for hunting, fishing, four wheeling, dirt bikes, and hiking. This is a great getaway you don't want to miss out on!
