Overview

About

Get your booty down to Ambrose A. Call State Park for some rugged Iowa landscape with a pioneer spirit. This outdoor sanctuary has acres of virgin timber (unfortunately, you really don’t find that every day!) and rolling hills with ravines and creeks smack dab in the middle of the farmland. It is an oasis in the monotony of the cornfields. Break from your routine here and hit the forested trails to scope out some wildlife, soak in the babbling creek, find your perfect campsite, and get the breathing space you are looking where Mother Nature always has your back. Don’t miss checking out the original elm log cabin built by the Call brothers when they settled here way back when. If you happen to miss out on summer don’t despair, there is a sweet cross country ski trail here in the winter! Now you definitely have no excuses.
