Located in the area of Rosseau Ontario, this area is known for exceptional cottage experiences. A short 10-minute drive to many area lakes to explore and experiences offered in all seasons including fishing, and boating in Muskoka lakes in the summer, cranberry marsh experience in the fall, and snowshoeing, cross country skiing, biking in the winter- there is something for everyone to explore when staying in this area! Visit Seguin Township and Muskoka Township websites for full listings and details. There are two cabins now on the property, but one is brand new and private and not accessible- it will be vacant for your stay. There is also a private sauna, but is also not accessible. The cabin pictured is in the middle of a private 5-acre property across from Turtle Lake and spans turtle lake road, to Donnelly and Poke Road, so it’s easily defined by the roads around the land. There is no direct access to the lake, but there are many lakes and beaches within a short drive. There are also many quaint towns to visit, beautiful hiking trails to explore all nearby. The main floor has a pull-out double bed, and the loft has 2 sets of bunk beds, ideal for kids. The bathroom facility is a newly built very airy eco-outhouse - you will be pleasantly surprised! There is a sink to wash up, and an outdoor shower, but for now, only cold water is available. This an ideal family getaway or a romantic getaway, I look forward to hosting you!

Stay here for a day or a week, this off-grid little resort has all the necessities that one would need, and make you want to come back again! We are excited to offer 3 off-grid log cabins, providing a highly private setting. 20 min to Parry Sound. These cabins are located within 75 acres of forest. Each cabin features either two single beds or one king-size bed. Cabins are insulated but have no heat so bring own pillows, blankets and sleeping bags. Accommodation is limited to two adults per cabin. Common areas for all cabins include: 1) Outdoor Kitchen (includes pots, pans, dishes, cups, utensils etc.), 2) Freezer/Fridge, 3) BBQ, 4) Indoor Shower (hot and cold water), 5) Outdoor Shower (hot and cold water) and 6) Toilet/Outhouse with running cold water. The large BBQ is equipped with 5 burners for the grill. There is also 1 side pot burner for foiling water and another ceramic grilling burner. Additionally, we have three tent spots available, with one designated for each cabin. There is ample parking space for guests. You can enjoy the convenience of a shower with hot water and a BBQ pit. Address is 261 Star Lake rd. Seguin. Its the second driveway when going north on Star lake rd. Look for a sign MAPLE RIVERS LANE. From Hwy 400, get off on hwy 141. Go east towards Rosseau. Turn left at Tally Hoe/Swords, then right at Turtle lake rd and left at Star lake rd. Explore the various trails for hiking, mountain biking, and even a small white water creek. There are plenty of lakes in the surrounding area. Seguin Trail is just 1 km away. A beautiful Maple Key Park and sandy beach awaits you only 4 km from the site. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the nearby historic town of Orrville. Stay here for a day or a week, this off-grid little resort has all the necessities that one would need, and make you want to come back again! These 3 off-grid log cabins, providing a highly private setting. Explore the various trails for hiking, mountain biking, and even a small white water creek. There are plenty of lakes in the surrounding area. Seguin Trail is just 1 km away. Fire wood is all around the forest Pick anything that is down and enjoy the common fire pit. Also a flashlight and some bug spray might help. This is a family oriented camping: 1) Please refrain from using offensive language, 2) Smoking allowed around fire pit only, 3) Please place all cigarette butts in fire pit, 4) Absolutely no candles allowed, (if desired please use insents only!) 5) Parties allowed only upon verbal consent from the management, 6) We have no cleaning fee so please keep your cabin neat and tidy. 7) Before checkout please place all garbage in and around the cabin into main bin located beside the outdoor kitchen. 8) Cabin floor should be swept using broom provided in the cabin.

The cabin was charming and cozy, it came with various board games to pass the time and a telescope to enjoy the stars at night. The hammocks or what my partner and I call the nest was relaxing. We also had a golden retriever visit us on our 2nd and last day in the cabin. She was very friendly. If ever she does wander off on your visit, its the neighbor's dog, she is not lost, she's just enjoying the nature like the rest of us.

My wife and I spent Thanksgiving weekend at Sabrina’s cabin and absolutely loved it. The location is perfect—just a 10-minute drive from Rosseau, where we found a fantastic general store that had everything we needed (including firewood). We took our dogs to a nearby beach, grabbed great pizza at Rosseau Pizzeria on the boardwalk, treated ourselves to gelato, and browsed a charming antique shop in town. The cabin itself was amazing—extremely clean, cozy, and full of personality. Sabrina has thought of everything: a full-sized fridge, coffee maker, electric heater that kept the cabin nice and toasty, and even a whole upper loft we didn’t end up needing because the pullout couch on the main floor was perfect for us. Our big dog and mini poodle had plenty of space to stretch out too. The outhouse was surprisingly spacious and spotless, stocked with toilet paper and featuring a working sink with running water both inside and outside for washing dishes. We spent most of our time by the fire pit, which was large enough for a group and surrounded by ample seating. Between the two wooden picnic tables, the big deck, and the covered area with hammocks, there were endless spots to relax, cook, and enjoy the outdoors. Even though the cabin is just off a road, the trees and forest create a real sense of seclusion and peace—you quickly forget there’s any traffic nearby. Sabrina was extremely kind and welcoming, and we couldn’t have asked for a better host. We’d happily come back!

Wonderful setup and lovely location. Up on a hill surrounded by trees giving lots of privacy. Great clean and cozy outhouse/washroom facility. Lots of seating provided with brand new picnic tables for adults and kids. I am an avid kayaker and the Black River is just steps away. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to be back again.

Everything about this place was perfect for us! It was easy to find, private and clean. Our site was right on the water with a fire pit and a picnic table. The outhouse was impeccably cleaned and close to our site. We had access to kayaks and a canoe however, we didn't end up having time to use them. Hayley was extremely responsive and friendly. We definitely recommend staying here if you're in the area!

This cabin was the perfect little getaway for our artist retreat weekend! It's cozy inside and the space heater works very well! The outside has a lot of fun play structures and hammocks to let out your inner kid (or actual kids) and the twinkle lights add a touch of magic! I have been here a few times now and it keeps getting nicer every time! It shows that there is a lot of care and love that has gone into this place :) I highly recommend checking it out!

We had an amazing time here. Wendi is super friendly and thoughtful, she checked what we needed and reminded us about the cold. The horse experience was the best part. Grooming them felt so calming and the horses are beautiful and very friendly. The firewood amount is really generous and lasts a long time. The campsite is spacious with lots of privacy. At night it was perfect for stargazing, I saw so many stars and even a few shooting stars. The toilet is very clean and everything here feels well cared for. I also admire how much Wendi and her family have built in just a few years, they are really living my dream life. Overall this was way better than camping in a provincial park. Highly recommend and I will definitely come back.

Welcome to Cedar Creek Forest Camping! Voted second best campsite in Canada in 2021 and ranked number 2 in Ontario in 2022. I have 97 acres of very private camping. The forest is a bird watcher’s and nature lover’s paradise. I have developed miles of flat groomed trails and a 3-acre pond (plus several bush ponds). The sites are spread around the pond and are close but not right beside it. There is an abundant amount of wildlife to explore: birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects and mammals call this home. There is a small swimming hole on the island but otherwise the pond is full of aquatic life. The sites and trails are maintained all year long and the forest is quiet and beautiful. I have planted over 3000 trees with the help of the Severn Sound Environmental Association. The forest is registered as a managed woodlot with the province and habitat preservation/restoration is the priority goal. Please DO NOT bring firewood for your visit. I have large bags of cured firewood that was sustainable harvested from the forest available. Invasive insects and disease can be transferred from imported wood. Guests are welcome to quietly explore the forest trails but are asked to stay on the trail. Many birds and animals nest in the forest. My campsite is family-friendly (and pet-friendly), and 420 friendly too. Guests can easily drive up to and park at all campsites. My camp site is tolerant and respectful of all humans, animals and things. The Yurtle structures were built from Hemlock trees that were cut from this forest and processed into boards, then engineered into unique camping huts. Large windows capture the glory of the surrounding forest and sun sets, while wood stoves warm campers on those cold days/nights. Sparrow Lake Camp is situated on the southernmost tip of the majestic Canadian Shield.  The site is known to have been a campground for bands of the Huron people prior to the European intrusion.  It is considered probable that Samuel de Champlain, the first European to explore Huronia, spent a night on this site in the 17th Century.In 1892, what would become the west side of the current property was sold by pioneer Captain Thomas Stanton to Toronto's renowned Massey family to act as their summer resort.  The resort sported the main lodge, dining room, and cottages and was only accessible by train and steamer. From the onset, the Masseys used the site as a summer retreat for the Young Men's Bible League of the Central Methodist Church. Today, the property is a thriving summer camp that also offers overnight tent stays with stunning lake views.

Currently we have The Poor House and The Glade to offer. We also are happy to accommodate special requests like pitching a tent or a small travel trailer at one of the sites if you wish. Pitch your tent on the hilltop plateaus with lake and sunset views (zone 8 or 9). Or your Hammock in Zone 6 under the trees. Pit toilet available (zone 7). Power is available along with the use of the common deck and BBQ area in (zones 3 and; 4). Includes Outdoor Hot Shower Stall and Sink. Rent the Indoor loft space (zone 2), with 2x double air mattress, power, TV, fridge, dishes, air fryer, kettle, toaster, microwave, and hot plate. Power up your Van or RV (zone 1) with outdoor plugs, and park on the newly created flat drive area. For the more athletic, hike up to the cleared forest edge in zone 10 or get really rustic in zone 11 hike into the bush for some natural Bush floor camping. There is a table fire pit (propane) for you to use and enjoy responsibly; as Muskoka always has a fire ban on in the summer. There are 27 acres of beautiful Muskoka bush for you to explore and enjoy. If you’re feeling adventurous you can hike around the surrounding forest; stay within the property boundaries and you will discover the hydro cut and its valley view, the ravine, the waterfall, and a footpath that leads to a bridge at the back of the lot. Or simply just relax and enjoy the soundings and view from the sitting rocks. The public beach for swimming is a quick walk down Beach Road. It has a large dock, picnic tables, grassy area along with an portapotty. Or check out the sandbar and drop off at the boat launch at the end of the road. The lake has a diverse shoreline and perfect for small boats and kayaks. This special little rustic cabin is nestled amongst 100 unspoiled acres of mixed forest with various walking trails on the property. It's the perfect place to unplug, unwind and completely connect with nature to enjoy some quiet time. In this cozy glamping setting, you will be serenaded by birds of every kind and will often see deer drinking by the stream close by. This cabin is OFF GRID (limited solar power) but has a wood stove (bundles of firewood available for purchase), propane outdoor portable grill, and enough solar power for very small electronic appliances. Sleeps 3 adults comfortably (or 2 adults & 2 children however msg us if you have any questions). Indoor bathroom with compostable toilet indoors. Many attractions and conveniences only 10-15 mins away in Port Sydney, Bracebridge and Huntsville. Nearby is a the beautiful public Mary Lake beach and boat launch in Port Sydney. There is NO HUNTING permitted on the property. Please expect bugs, flies and mosquitoes. Deck is mostly enclosed to make star filled nights that much more enjoyable. There is also a sugar shack and garage on the property for viewing purposes only. There is an outdoor propane shower and a large cooler available for your convenience as well.
