There was once a hominy mill on this property, that was fed from the falls and in turn, fed the people of the area. The mill is long gone, but the giant rocks that made up the foundation and hand stacked are still there. The Cliff Site is on a rock cliff above the creek. You can walk down in front of the site and around to access the creek. You accept all liability; this is a wild and dangerous location for adults.Cliff side is a on top of a cliff overlooking Hominy Creek. You can walk down to the creek about 50' below and take a swim, or hike along the creek. Shaded and private, but right off the road. Short walk to the falls to jump, fish, swim or just hike around.
