Welcome to the enchanting Brooklyn Heights Riverfront Campground, a pristine natural paradise nestled nearby the Monongahela National Forest and graced by the stunning Dry Fork River. Since our grand opening in July 2022, we've been welcoming guests year-round to explore and enjoy our 35 acres of unspoiled wilderness forest, complete with winding trails and a captivating 2100 feet of riverfront. Our diverse accommodations cater to all outdoor enthusiasts. Choose from 15 camping sites, each equipped with fire pits and slabwood benches amidst ample parking. For those seeking a rustic retreat, our 5 primitive shelter cabin sites feature cozy 10x12 lofted barn cabins, securely lockable with your padlock. RV adventurers are welcome too, with 10 picturesque near riverside spots (best suited for towed RVs up to 32 feet or drivable up to 35 feet). Four of these provide full electric and water hook-ups, while the other six offer a serene boon-docking experience. We have also recently added 2 deluxe furnished cabins, 3 large group riverfront campsites, and a bohemian bus shelter site that sleeps 8. Immerse yourself in the beauty of nearly 4 miles of wilderness riverfront, situated on a breathtaking road leading to the charming town of Parsons, WV - the heart of Tucker County and gateway to Thomas, Davis, and Canaan Valley. Your adventure starts here: kayak down the merging Dry Fork and Black Fork Rivers, stroll over to the nearby Hendricks via a charming cable suspension bridge, or explore the Fernow Experimental Forest, just a mile downstream. The surrounding Monongahela National Forest awaits with its vast, unlogged forests. Thrill-seekers and nature lovers alike will find no shortage of activities. From waterfall explorations, creek adventures, and fishing to kayaking, tubing, and hiking, there's something for everyone. Don't forget to bring your bikes, kayaks, tubes, roller blades, snorkels, goggles, and river shoes for an unforgettable outdoor experience! Our camp provides spring water spigots for general use, an office cabin with electric charging access, and clean porta-potties. Wi-Fi is available near the office cabin (password: campground19). The lovely town of Parsons, with all its conveniences, is just a 4-mile drive away. For a seamless experience, we offer online booking and self-check-in, with check-in starting at noon and designated parking spots for each campsite. Great place near water

The camping was very close to the beautiful water. Walk to fishing, swimming, hiking, sights. They offer a beach and tubes for free. Such kind people who are in charge! Very clean and quiet.

Ah! Relaxation.

This was our second trip to BHC. We went last October when the trees were changing to fall colors. Everything was green, vibrant, and delightfully cool this time. We enjoyed walking and bike riding on the local roads. I got a little fishing in along the river. The campground is a bit spread out, but signage is excellent. The folks working around the campground were very polite and helpful. We did have an after-hours noisy neighbor (who apologized the next morning) one night, but overall the stay went well. We would recommend that folks bring their own water, or filters for the camps spring water. A table would be useful since there are no picnic tables at the RV campsites. I don't know if tent or cabin sites have them. Chairs are a must as well - there are wood benches around the big fire rings that can be a bit uncomfortable. They are low to the ground (or seemed so to us older folks). We heartily recommend this site for its relaxation. Falling asleep to the water rushing down the river was nice. Little to no air traffic, train whistles, or sirens. Be careful how you arrive at BHC- local roads are good, but narrow. Google Maps will try to shunt you down some tricky roads. If you're in anything larger than a 25' class C I'd be very nervous. Towing a large trailer could be equally challenging.

CB4 - The Rosendorff Cabin

Peaceful Nature Escape, Great Host!

Vincent is an exceptional host! His enthusiasm for the land is contagious, and he goes above and beyond to ensure his guests feel welcome and comfortable. Despite the rainy weather during our weekend stay, the cabin provided solid protection from the elements and kept us dry. While the cabin is rustic, it's perfect for those who enjoy a bit of adventure. Just be aware that damp air might give you that ‘slept in a tent’ feel. A small tip: consider bringing your own dry firewood if rain is in the forecast. Overall, everything was exactly as described, and we had a wonderful time!

C4 Campsite

First Family Camping Trip

First off, Vincent immediately greeted us and made us feel welcome and comfortable. The neighboring sites were a bit close (we rented 2 sites for "extra room") that were neighboring ours. C4 & C5 are tucked away in the corner of site on the map but C3 sits very close as well. Vincent seeing we had 4 little ones offered to rent us C3 as well to give us more room on-site and was very accommodating for our group. $ adults and 4 kids ages 2-5. The property is lovely, the canopy of trees helped shelter us from the 2" of rainfall we received over the weekend and we actually managed to stay dry inside the tent over night. The river is very clean, with some beach (sand) area to sit and relax comfortably. I highly recommend this location if you want to remote location with the comforts of small town and small community still nearby.

CB2 - The Hambleton Cabin

Friends week.

We rented Cabins 1,2,3,4 and had 2 people in each for 5 nights. We had the best time. The river was BEAUTIFUL and accessible. We floated and fished and hung out at Cabin 3 campfire to eat and socialize, The mountains and area were more beautiful than I expected. The camground was neat, clean and comfortable as were the cabins. We had a blast. We frequented the town of Parsons for all our needs.
