Our 28 acres are located in between maple falls and glacier, Wa, directly on Mt Baker Hwy on the way to Beautiful Mt Baker.
Ben and I run a chemical free farm, on which we raise 7 and 1/2 acres of veggie and flower. 15 acres of pastureland on which we raise pasture raised chicken, as well as biannual lamb and beef.
The remainder of our land is breathtaking pacific northwest forest that is boarded by the Bay to Baker trail.
Our campsites range between walk in wooded sites, and car camping sites that are open field sites next to the tree line. We provide wagons in our cart corral area to make it more convenient for the very short walk in. ( no more then a 200 foot walk in)
We have a beautiful cedar grove to enjoy for lounging and picnics. The Bay to Baker trail borders our property, so it is just steps away and includes a 45 min round walk to a quaint little waterfall (maple falls). As well as a nature loop trail. You can also walk the other direction on the trail over a boardwalk and up to the Nooksack river. This direction walks along the back of the farm and allows you to see the veggie fields from a distance.
There is a conservation area, just a quarter mile drive down the road. With access to the Nooksack river, that includes several nice swimming spots and a couple nice walking trials.
Silver Lake is just 3.8 miles away. It has a great recreation area, fun for the whole family.
Just a heads up , you will probably lose service on your drive up here. But you will get service back when you are here.
We suggest putting the map in your phone before you leave. Google maps will take you just past the farm, and apple maps will stop you too soon.
So you are looking for the large kragnes family farms sign in the driveway. pull in and follo the camping signs to the back.
The campsite at Kragnes Family Farm is a hit among campers. Visitors rave about the friendly and accommodating hosts, Tyne and Ben, who go above and beyond to create a welcoming atmosphere. The campground offers a mix of sunlit clearings and shaded forest spots, perfect for stargazing or enjoying a peaceful night's sleep. While the proximity to the road means some traffic noise, the overall tranquility and access to trails and waterfalls make it a favored choice for nature lovers.
THE most amazing Hipcamp stay I’ve had. My friend and I arrived late and were checking out the walk in cooler of produce and goods for sale when we ran into Tyne. She is the coolest. She hooked us up with a bunch of produce and went out of her way to help us plan to do the things we wanted to do while up there. We will absolutely be back. The site was perfect for two people, in the woods behind the farm and waking up to the sun between the trees was the best way to start the day. Perfectly clean and fully stocked outhouse. Lots of small touches that show how much care is put into the property. Thank you Tyne!
Pretty easy to find even in the dark and right on a cute farm. Composting toilet was very clean and even though you have to walk from your car to the campsites it’s not far at all. Convenient location near the highway, we used it as a launching point for hiking! Also hosts were very nice and stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed. Thanks again :)
The hosts were fantastic, there was a firepit and plenty of room at site 6 to play lawn games that we brought and stargaze. There is a great trail in back that leads to a waterfall and town as well which was a great post hike recovery walk!
We loved camping here! It was easy to get to the address provided and they had great directions and information posted when you arrived. Very friendly, responsive, and gave great recommendations for sightseeing/hiking in the area! We would definitely camp here again!
Car camped with my wife and dog. Nice big open space. Good views of the mountains. Host was very nice and helpful. Outhouse style bathroom on site that was clean. Overall would stay here again if we came back through
Great spot! Hosts were communicative and accommodating.
