Located on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula smack dab in the middle of the Hood Canal in the Olympic National Forest.
Our modest but conveniently located property is perfect for exploration along this beautiful stretch of highway 101. Whether you enjoy clamming and oyster picking on nearby beaches, taking a picnic to the river, hiking on the countless nearby trails, or taking a day to explore nearby local farms for all of your fresh produce needs, breweries, cideries, and countless eateries this is the spot for you.This quaint camp spot is perfect for dry camping in your RV or primitive tent camping. Tucked in the trees this semi private spot is an excellent getaway just far enough out of town to make you forget the hustle and bustle of city life, but also close enough to enjoy all of the beauty and activities the Olympic Peninsula has to offer. Smack dab on the middle of the Hood Canal (FYI which is actually a Fjord) we are within the perfect range of a day trip to Forks to visit the Hoh rainforest, or continue to catch the stunning beaches at La Push. Don't forget to grab your shellfish license and head to a local public beach for your clam digging and oyster picking needs. Or head down the road to Hama Hama Oyster Bar and Saloon and let the nice folks there do all the work for you while you sip on local beverages enjoying the view. This gem of a spot is open all year round. In under an hour you can make the drive North to historic Port Townsend and soak up the history of this beautiful town known for its eclectic art, music, and residents. So many delicious options for food and beverages, not to mention the stellar views of the water and the amazing historic homes in the Uptown area. Don't forget to stop in Chimicum along the way, the farmstand has an amazing array of fresh local produce, baked goods etc. Conveniently located right across the street from the amazing Finn River Cidery. Finn River boasts some of the best ciders and snacks in the PNW. Look them up for events and music. As an all ages venue this is a favorite for one and all. Just about an hours drive to Kingston, or Bainbridge and you can catch the ferry across the Sound and spend the day exploring Seattle and the surrounding areas. Are you a shrimper or fisher and don't feel like driving home after a chilly day on the water? We have room for you, your camper and your boat. Perfect for year round for hikers, shrimpers, hunters, and relaxers.
There is wood available for for the non burn ban times, please do not forage or gather wood/kindling from the properties. Hosts live nearby to help with any issues, but guests will be granted total privacy. Though this 'neighborhood,' is mostly vacation properties, there are year round residents so we ask that there is a quieter time from 10pm until 7am. Pets are allowed with an additional fee, please be aware there is always the chance of predators in this area, so we ask that dogs are leashed and supervised at all times.
