David’s adorable 1950s Alma trailer is a labor of love. Beautifully restored with modern conveniences (Bluetooth turntable, WiFi, AC, induction hot plate, awesome bed) and thoughtful touches (vintage trailer zines, cool artifacts), it’s a perfect place to unwind. A total pro, he thought to even put a canopy over the trailer so the afternoon sun won’t heat up the trailer any more than necessary. The fan-powered ceiling vents also pull out any hot air.
The screened windows all open and you get the best cross drafts of cool evening air coming from the stands of forest around you. Trailer design was just better then. Certainly more aesthetic!
The site is in a level clearing with a well-maintained lawn that’s lovely to walk barefoot through. You definitely see a few neighboring houses but that wasn’t ever a problem for us, as everyone in the neighborhood has at least an acre or so between them. The birdsong is enchanting and the rooster is also a gentle sound in the morning.
We had such magical evenings listening to music and playing cards. This was a special memory for us! Thanks, David. You’ve nailed this!
